Each stand within their own large lawned gardens which provide a great place for children to play and al-fresco dining. Riding, cycling and walking trails are in abundance and the famous Tarka Trail, 8 miles, is popular with cyclists and walkers. A public footpath passes through the owner’s 40 acres of pasture and woodland. Guests are free to enjoy the grounds and if you bring your own fishing rod you can cast your line in one of the owner’s three coarse fishing lakes. Bradworthy is only 2 miles away with village shops and amenities along with a popular 14th century village inn. Some of the west country’s prettiest coastline is within a short drive including Bucks Mill, Clovelly and Hartland. Bude, famous for its surfing and sandy beaches, is 10 miles and has restaurants, indoor splash pool, ten pin bowling, golf, shops and galleries. The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are close by and the villages of Boscastle and Tintagel and The Eden Project are all within easy reach. Water sports are available within 5 miles. The property also has a private and covered veranda area overlooking a large pond. There is plenty of outside space to enjoy, along with an enclosed garden in which pets can roam freely.

    Located on the boundary of Lincombe Woods, you are within walking distance of Wellswood village shops, woodlands, meadows and beaches. Meadfoot Beach is closest and arguably Torbay’s finest. With its southerly outlook and clean blue waters, it deserves its reputation as one of the region’s best. Wellswood village is a ten-minute woodland walk away (or two minute drive) and is a charming area of Torquay. Everything you need for day-to-day living is here including a pub, small supermarket, ATM, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, post office, patisserie, salons, barber, wine bar and village pantry amongst others.
    The local dog-friendly pub is known for its good food, sunny beer garden and friendly atmosphere. The village is the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie, home to Kents Cavern Caves and was where The Gleneagles Hotel inspired John Cleese’s ’Fawlty Towers’. The apartment is a ten-minute drive to the marina, harbour and main Torquay shopping areas.     For a wider range of amenities, head to the market town of South Molton. The property is ideally situated for exploring all of North Devon and Exmoor. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path and many places to visit to make your holiday memorable. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (National Trust), the valley of the rocks and the funicular cliff railway, are well worth a visit, or looking towards Minehead, visitors can go back in time on the scenic West Somerset Steam Railway, or visit the enchanting medieval Dunster Castle (also National Trust), with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill, all making for an interesting day out. Nearer to home, guests can wine and dine in the pubs and a Michelin 1* restaurant nearby. There is also fishing, golf and cycling available. Further afield, the resorts of Ilfracombe, Bideford and Combe Martin are well worth a visit. For some of the best beaches in the country, visit Woolacombe and Saunton. Beach 25 miles.     Four Seasons Cottage is a beautiful cottage with a gorgeous, comfortable interior. There’s a living room with a wood burner and Smart TV, and the kitchen/diner is the hub of the cottage with all you’ll need for your holiday. Indulge in the cinema room with a 55” cinema-style Smart TV. Outside there is plenty to do from lounging on the patio and pebbled garden to having a soak in the hot tub! Between April and October, the outdoor above-ground pool (non-heated) will be available to use. Shared facilities include a sports/games lawn and access to 7.5 acres of land including free coarse fishing on the private lake. The owner will accept up to three/four horses on request, subject to availability. There are several resident horses on site, and you can arrange a grooming session at no cost during your stay, supervised by the owner and subject to availability. You are also welcome to collect eggs from the free-range chickens, proving great fun for everyone.
    The property is a great base for exploring both North Devon and North Cornwall, boasting some of the best beaches in the country many of which are dog friendly and around 20-minute drive away. The famous Tarka trail walk is in easy reach just a few minutes’ drive away from the cottage, Along the way you will find many dog-friendly pubs and restaurants. Regularly used by walkers, runners and cyclists. There are many family attractions a short drive away including mini theme parks, farm parks, adventure centres for those adrenaline seekers, gardens, museums and stately homes. Just over 5 miles from Torrington or Great Torrington, a town built on the site of an ancient settlement at the top of a cliff with the river Torridge below. The town benefits from some great views and a regular pannier market. 18 miles from the capital town of Barnstaple with its Queens Theatre, cinema, leisure centre, tennis centre and indoor trampoline centre.
    North Devon offers fantastic attractions such as Exmoor National Park with its ‘Dark Sky Reserve’. Explore coastal towns and villages such as Lynton and Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and Clovelly village all boasting breathtaking scenery. You’re spoilt for choice for beaches with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! all within easy reach by car. The Southwest Coastal Path runs through the rugged coastline offering stunning walks, and the Tarka Trail can be accessed locally, providing opportunities to follow a disused railway line and will take you through places like Fremington Quay and Yarde, Instow with its estuary beach and view towards the fishing village of Appledore through to Bideford, Barnstaple and beyond.
