Coastal Soul has an open-plan living area, combined with the kitchen and dining areas. The living area has a Smart TV with Freeview and Wi-Fi, making this a great place to chill out after a day exploring. Relax into the three-seater sofa or armchair, or step through sliding doors out to the garden which has a large table and chairs/bench with cushions and barbecue (utensils provided) and relax in the summer sun with a glass of your favourite tipple. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm whilst chatting with friends or family in this great social space. Don’t worry about washing up as there is even a dishwasher and washing machine! On the first floor, retreat to one of the two bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep, and you will also find the bathroom on this floor equipped with a shower and bath, for your choice of a relaxing soak or a quick rinse.
Coastal Soul is situated in the seaside village of Lake (between Sandown and Shanklin). Take a 5-minute walk down the path to the sandy beach and promenade which links Sandown to Shanklin. There you will find a friendly café and public restroom, meaning you can spend the whole day on the beach! The coastal path takes you to the public lift in Shanklin where you can find cafés, ice cream shops, crazy golf and amusement arcades.
The Isle of Wight is renowned for having a warm, sunny climate, and there are plenty of tourist attractions you can enjoy in the sun. This Shepherd’s Hut with stunning views, hot tub and private use of the indoor pool has direct access to Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty South Coast paths, pubs and shops. The living area has stable doors from which to enjoy the uninterrupted valley views, and the dining furniture can be used inside or out. The bedroom area with a wardrobe and storage, has a double bed made up of quality linens, that can be stored vertically for extra space. The garden is enclosed and partly sheltered and has a fire pit and undercover area with fairy lights, a worktop, sink, BBQ (including starter coals) and loungers to soak up the great views. This is an area with low light pollution and the Protected Sky Status for star gazing! Visitors have direct access to 2-acre dog walking paddocks and further Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Isle of Wight paths. There is a shared indoor heated swimming pool and private use can be arranged with the owner prior to arrival.

You are welcome to join the owners for a walk or cycle to the nearby St Catherine’s Oratory or ‘Pepperpot’, as it is known locally, or into the close by villages of Whitell and Niton, with many options to venture further afield.

Outdoor pursuits are well catered for including horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, watersports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages. Woodpecker’s Rest is a spacious, detached bungalow which is able to comfortably accommodate up to six guests. It is situated within the charming rural village of Whitwell, towards the southern side of the Isle of Wight, approximately 3 miles north west of the seaside town of Ventnor. The area is a firm favourite with cyclists, walkers and ramblers due to its close proximity to the southern most tip of the island, with an ever-changing coastal landscape boasting breathtaking panoramic views and a wealth of wildlife.
The open plan living and dining space means you can cook up those home-cooked recipes and then gather the family for an evening in front of the 50" Smart TV. There is plenty of seating with a table and six chairs, a four-seater sofa and a two-seater sofa. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, the second bedroom has a standard double bed and the third bedroom is perfect for children, with a set of bunk beds.
Within the village you will find the oldest pub on the island, dating back from the 15th century. If you enjoy a bit of fishing then you should most certainly take advantage of the local fishing lakes; three lakes covering 1½ acres where the waters are well stocked with carp, roach and tench.
The popular seaside resort of Ventnor is just a short drive away offering a number of lovely seaside tea shops, pubs and restaurants dotted along the Esplanade. There are also some quirky and bespoke shops, a park and a children’s paddling pool. The town, which for the most part is built on the steep hill leading to the beach, retains its original seaside charm and makes a great day out for all the family.
Further afield local points of interest include St Catherine’s Lighthouse, where you can explore the area where Marconi made some of his early experiments in radio, St Catherines Oratory, a medieval lighthouse on top of St Catherine’s Down, and Castle Cove (also known as Castlehaven or Reeth Bay), where there is a little open-air beach café (seasonal opening).
The pretty neighbouring villages of Niton and Godshill are only a short drive away. At Niton there is a range of amenities, including good places to eat and drink. This comfortable property is less than two miles away from the centre of one of the most picturesque villages on the Isle Of Wight, Godshill. It is suited to walkers, cyclists and guests wanting to enjoy a slice of rural life on their holiday and take in some spectacular walks and countryside views. A one bedroom, single-storey, detached property, it lies adjacent to the owner’s home, and comprises of one kingsize bedroom and a small sofa bed in the open-plan living room. It’s perfect for couples or a small family with a dog, looking for a short break or a week’s holiday, as it provides an ideal central base giving easy access to all of the island’s many attractions. There is a small, enclosed garden and plenty of long walks in the surrounding area for dogs to enjoy. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are provided within the property.

Friendly, sociable adult dogs (over 12 months old) are welcome on holiday too but NOT left alone unless totally happy/settled in and agreed with owner in advance, while making use of the pool. They have their very own pet hamper with a microfibre mattress, towels, natural shampoo, toys, treats and pet ID tag.
There are further gardens, walking paddocks and a central outside hot and cold water hose for muddy dogs, boots or bikes. The owners, who live on-site along with their dogs and animals, are available should you need any help.
