The Manor Coach House is enticing, spacious and charming. It has been lovingly restored by the owners to create a contemporary, upside down cottage with luxury furniture and fittings. The two kingsize bedrooms both have large stunning en-suite bathrooms, a spiral staircase leads to the first floor open plan living space where you will find a karaoke machine, record player with a selection of records, and a selection of board games. Leading out from the living space is a lovely teak balcony overlooking the large 1 acre garden where you will find an elegant walled terrace and garden furniture. Have some fun and enjoy a dip in the heated pool followed by a game of table tennis outside. Relax as the sun goes down and light up the barbecue for an enjoyable evening meal in this delightful sun trap. The hot tub with a waterfall feature overlooks the enclosed garden with a sheltered walled terrace, brick built gas barbecue, additional Weber coal barbecue (coals supplied) and a wood-fired pizza oven.
This elevated property sits high above the Stour Valley and has the benefits of being just a short drive to the historic city of Canterbury, as well as being surrounded by the picturesque Kent countryside, footpaths, cycle routes and a unique complex of lakes where day anglers can spend a happy day fishing. Just 20 minutes away you can be in Whitstable where you’ll find some wonderful award-winning beaches. Enjoy some wonderful local walks along The River Stour and stop off at the local farm shop in Chilham for some tasty treats. And don’t forget your dog! They’ll love this wonderful and pet friendly cottage.
The Coach House is in the grounds of the owners’ manor house, parts of which date back to the 15th century, and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Fishing available nearby.

Coastguard Cottage is in a unique location on the coast of Swalecliffe near Whitstable. Boasting sea views from each room, the property has bi-fold doors opening onto decking where guests can enjoy sitting on the decking and overlooking the Thames Estuary. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard, this three-bedroom terraced property is the perfect location for any family, group of friends or couples to enjoy a seaside holiday. The nearby holiday park offers evening entertainment and local facilities. A large expanse of lawn to the front of the property enables guests to walk their four-legged friends close to the property and take in the fantastic views along the coast. The high-spec bathroom includes rare brass bath and copper sink, and the open-plan living room and kitchen boast a great area in which to entertain guests, leading to a private decking area with enclosed lawned garden. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor with the third bedroom accessed via the first floor bedroom to the second floor.

Nearby attractions include the seaside town of Whitstable, famous for its yearly Oyster Festival and sea food restaurants. The famous city of Canterbury is a short drive, where guests can experience the history and culture of this beautiful city, shop on the cobbled high street and enjoy evenings in the many restaurants and bars on offer. For a trip further afield, guests can take a ferry from Dover to the port of Calais in France, enjoy lunch in the city or take time for sightseeing. The local animal reserve of Howletts, known for contributing to the conservation of endangered wildlife, offers the opportunity to see lions, tigers, monkeys and much more. This lovingly restored detached Grade II listed cottage with Flemish gables lies close to the owners’ home at the top of a country lane, amid their 21-acre farm consisting of orchards. Many original features remain – and with wide doorways, ground floor bedroom and bathroom, wheelchair access is possible. The village of Preston-next-Wingham is a mile away and there are walks through the orchards to join the Saxon Shore Way. Canterbury is a 20-minute drive. Smarden was once a village thriving on the wool industry, and is now a sleepy backwater of old England, so classically Kentish that it is sometimes in film sets. In the heart of the village is a cluster of half-timbered houses with Kent peg-tiled roofs. For day trips, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens are well worth a visit, as are the vineyards at Biddenden. Leeds Castle is easily accessible and it closely resembles a fairytale palace, rather than a fortress. The fine aviary and maze are also sure to keep children interested and amused. Golf can be found locally at Chart Hills. One of England’s world heritage cities, Canterbury has much to offer, with many shops, restaurants, and theatres. A former church, now called The Canterbury Tales, has guided tours that lead through galleries and recount Chaucer’s tales. There is easy access to Ashford, from where the Eurotunnel can be taken over to Paris or Brussels. Beach 20 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles, and restaurant 10 miles.
