The Coach House (ref UKC2772) is a large barn conversion which can accommodate up to eight guests; it features Wi-Fi, a wood burner, and a large open plan living area. Coachman’s Cottage (ref UKC2773) is a quaint countryside cottage, accommodating four guests this property also offers Wi-Fi and open plan living, with a small enclosed courtyard with seating and barbecue for the summer months.
Nearby attractions include three championship golf courses, and includes Royal St George’s which will be hosting The Open in 2020. Sandwich Bay boasts a beautiful beach which is within walking distance. Fishing is also available locally. The nearby quiet medieval town of Sandwich has a delightful range of local shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. The railway station in Sandwich offers a high speed service into London, plus the opportunity to visit France from either Dover or Folkestone with the Eurostar or ferry. A beautiful stretch of pebble beach, a 5 minute walk away, that stretches as far as the coastal towns of Sandgate and Folkestone, spend the day relaxing on the pebbles, dip your toes in the Channel or stretch your legs with a walk or a cycle along the esplanade with stops at the locally renowned Boat House on Sandgate beach for a well-earned drink or at Griggs of Hythe to sample a seafood delight whilst gazing out to sea. A stone’s throw from the Royal Military canal, where you can explore by water, with rowing boats and kayaks to hire. Wander down the cobbled and historic high street dotted with independent shops, quaint tea rooms and cafés, and a great choice of restaurants to explore, just a few minutes’ walk from Hydrangea House, you couldn’t be in a better position to explore all that Hythe has to offer.

This beautifully presented and spacious period house has been stylishly updated to offer the perfect country home for larger families or groups and has an additional self-contained annex. Originally an Edwardian gatehouse, Cryals Lodge was re-designed and renovated with indoor and outdoor entertaining in mind; added features include a Finnish barbecue hut. The property sits within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by apple orchards and rolling countryside.

Entering Cryals Lodge via the porch/boot room, a second glazed door leads into the large reception hall, with a striking galleried landing, skylights and large seated/entertaining area. The hall features traditional oak parquet flooring and a balustrade staircase rising up to the first floor. A ‘den’ featuring a Smart TV and gaming console is just off the hall. The living room has a parquet floor, bespoke fitted oak cupboards, a cosy dual-aspect (to the hall), glazed gas fire and wide bi-folding doors opening out to a decked ‘outdoor lounge.’ There is a generously proportioned family kitchen/breakfast room with corian work tops, a central island unit/breakfast bar, walnut veneered cupboards and fitted Neff appliances. The room has bi-fold doors opening out to a large patio and barbecue area with furniture and daybed. The dining room, open plan to the kitchen, is presented in a period style with louvred shutters and features a large oak dining table seating 10-12. The galleried landing on the first floor features a cushioned window seat enjoying a view over the garden and on to the orchards beyond. The master bedroom suite has a dressing room and a well-appointed en-suite shower room. There are four further bedrooms, two sharing a shower room, and a stylish family bathroom.

Outside, the gardens have a contemporary feel and are bordered by high mixed hedging to the boundary offering total privacy. Landscaped terraces span the doors to the living areas, creating flexible space for summer entertaining and merging into a good area of level lawn.
