You can jump on the tram to visit the neighbouring fishing town of Fleetwood, or the ’glitz and glamour’ of Blackpool, which needs little introduction.

It will take around a 30-minute drive, or the Lake District National Park can be reached in around an hour. The beautiful Fylde coast can be reached in around 15 minutes including Thornton Cleveleys with its old fashioned charm and promenade, Fleetwood with the Freeport Outlet Shopping Village and of course the razzle, dazzle, glitz and glamour of Blackpool. To name a few of the many Blackpool attractions you have the famous Tower and Ballroom, Blackpool Zoo, the Pleasure Beach, Coral Island, the Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds. Aside from being accessible for the coast, the location is also well-placed for exploring rural Lancashire. The Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland AONB, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks can all be reached around an hour. The city of Lancaster is just 16 miles away and Preston 18 miles.
