Just 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness are the long white sands of the east coast. Lambourne House has everything needed to relax and enjoy a traditional family holiday, with five double bedrooms, expansive living rooms, a beautiful inglenook fireplace and all the luxury facilities you would expect from a house of this size, including a gym. The mature garden, with its play areas and barbecues, provides a wonderful place for family fun, and the heated indoor swimming pool ensures entertainment all year round. Off road parking in designated areas right outside the farmhouse affords easy access for loading and unloading luggage and shopping.
There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Just a short stroll to the river bank, these splendid cottages all have an enclosed garden with patio and hot tub, and offer lovely walks along the river bank and good cycle routes straight from the door. Salters Cottage (ref E5045), Chestnut Cottage (ref E5626) and Granary Cottage (ref E5626) are two-storey terraced cottages, and Field View (ref UKC2304) is a detached, single-storey barn conversion. Internally, these properties have been superbly converted and beautifully furnished and decorated.
Set close to the River Steeping, at the edge of the owners’ 80-acre arable farm, which guests are free to explore, there is the bonus of free river fishing within the grounds (license required). On the fringe of Wainfleet All Saints, and within a short walk, is a famous brewery which offers tours, an on-site pub and a bistro, these properties are perfect for exploring the area. Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is within walking distance and is well known for its unspoilt coastline that runs southwards from the edge of Skegness to the mouth of the Wash. The impressive views along with the sheer scale and diversity of wildlife makes it well worth visiting at all times of the year. There is also a visitor centre and café for refreshment.
Skegness is a fantastic traditional seaside resort and has something for all the family to enjoy from its funfair, amusements, aquarium and award winning sandy beaches to its range of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Watching the Banger racing is sure to make for a fun family day out and in the summer you can enjoy a donkey ride along the beach. An 18-hole links golf course is also within a mile.
Alternatively head inland to the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Natural Beauty, and explore the market towns of Louth, Market Rasen and Horncastle. Enjoy the motor racing at Cadwell Park, the horse racing at Market Rasen or even a day out in the City of Lincoln, famous for its Cathedral and Castle. Enjoying a rural location on the edge of the owners farm there are lovely walks straight from the door with the nearby nature reserve offering many miles of peaceful walks. Beach 1 mile. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful holiday or a base from which to explore, then Meals Farm Cottages are simply ideal. These fantastic holiday homes are perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area. Just a 2-minute drive away is North Somercotes - a charming village with two pubs, two convenience stores and a number of food establishments, including a Chinese takeaway, pizzeria and Italian restaurant. There are a number of villages nearby, which offer a broad range of restaurants and pubs to try. Donna Nook with its beach and nature reserve 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile. This lovely barn is on the edge of the family farm, which has been superbly restored in 2021 and extended to provide great family sized accommodation with space for everyone to enjoy. Ideal for families staying together with two separate staircases to the first floor, a large south facing patio with 15ft swim spa, as well as a lawned garden for fun family games.
Just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards and within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and The Lincolnshire Wolds. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.
