The hot tub is tucked underneath the decking and screened to retain its privacy, but still benefits from countryside views.
The Tack Room (ref UK31753) has been newly converted during 2021, beautifully fusing traditional and contemporary design to offer a very comfortable holiday home. Jupiter Barn ref UK31757) is semi-detached and has been cleverly restored with charm and hosts a contemporary finish and very comfortable furnishings. The open plan accommodation leads out to the enclosed lawn garden with private hot tub.
These properties provide excellent walking direct from the doorstep, and miles of footpaths and trails to explore, including local woods. It is situated in an ideal location to explore the excellent sandy beach of the North Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads, which are both within a 30-minute drive. Cromer and Sheringham, also have glorious sandy beaches and are host to many attractions, perfect for everyone. Cromer boasts a pier, with a carnival week which is held in August and, weather permitting, a spectacular New Year’s Day celebration, complete with fireworks.
Places of historical interest and stately homes can be found within easy driving distance, and Blickling Hall boast open air concerts during the summer season. Perfect for entertaining the younger generations, these properties are also close to Banham Zoo, Wroxham Barns craft centre and play park, Dinosaur Adventure Park at Lenwade and BeWILDerwood at Horning. Neighbouring the owner’s farm, Piggyback Barns are situated in the peaceful village of Sculthorpe, just 8 miles from the Norfolk coastline with its wealth of sandy beaches, and RSPB bird and nature reserves. Excellent walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the doorstep and fishing is nearby.
Fakenham, 2 miles, offers good shops, restaurants, inns, a bowling alley, cinema and golf course. Bustling Burnham Market with village shops, inns and restaurants, is 7 miles away. Wells-next-the-Sea, 8 miles, offers an excellent sandy beach with colourful beach huts, a small shopping town centre with many inns and restaurants, and a picturesque fishing harbour - popular for fresh shell fish. Further along the coast is Brancaster for an uncrowded sandy beach and golf course. Brancaster Staithe provides a popular venue for sailing and boating enthusiasts.

The traditional seaside towns of Heacham and Hunstanton offer an array of activities for all ages. Many places of historical interest and stately homes are within the surrounding area. 20 minutes’ drive away is the historical town of Kings Lynn for shopping, market place, restaurants, inns and theatre, and also Norwich city for excellent shopping, castle museum, cathedral, theatre, market place, restaurants and inns. Set in a quiet residential street, just 200 yards from the beautiful, sandy beach, this detached bungalow enjoys a great position within the sought after village of Mundesley. The property has the benefit of both a conservatory and sun room with doors leading to the patio.
With a great beach, lots of local amenities and great places to eat and drink, you may be tempted to park up and stay within the village, but those looking to explore a little further afield will be spoilt for choice. Nearby Cromer also offers a lovely beach, along with an Edwardian seafront and promenade, a world famous pier offering end of pier shows, a zoo, cinema and a host of other seaside attractions. The Manor House, part of which dates back to the 1800s with much of the property alot older, has been thoughtfully restored to retain much of its period charm, with interesting features throughout. In under 15 minutes you can be at bracing Brancaster beach, great for sunbathing in summer and walking in winter. Head east to Holkham beach, which was featured in Shakespeare in Love, and the popular village of Wells-next-the-Sea with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and quaint mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafés and amusements. Further along the coast lies Blakeney, Cley, Sheringham and Cromer with its famous Edwardian promenade and pier.
Pretty coastal villages, many of which offer artisan shops and great places to eat, salt marshes and beaches can be found to the west. The Victorian town of Hunstanton, with it’s famous stripy cliffs, has a beach that really does seem to go on forever and here you will find a small funfair, Sealife Centre and lots of traditional seaside amusements. Aptly named ‘Royal Norfolk’ has lots of stately homes and National Trust properties, including The Sandringham Estate, Peckover House and Gardens, Holkham Hall and Blickling Hall. History lovers should try to squeeze in a visit to the medieval city of Norwich, with it’s magnificent Norman castle and numerous museums, or perhaps visit the hanseatic quarter of Old Kings Lynn, which offers historical tours and, for the brave, ghost walks. For those who enjoy a visit to the beach whilst on holiday, Snettisham Beach is the closest at 30 minutes’ drive. Further along the coast road are the traditional seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham, which boast beaches and an array of traditional seaside activities and attractions for all ages. Hunstanton, 24 miles, has a pier with lively seasonal entertainment, a Sea Life Centre and cliff-top golf course. Heacham, 22 miles, is home to Norfolk Lavender and visitors may participate in guided tours of the expanse of lavender fields to observe the harvesting. Sandringham Estate,- the Queen’s country residence, with its Jacobean-style house, museum, superb gardens and park, are open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. To the south lies Ely Cathedral, known as the Ship of the Fens. This small city has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty waterfront and boat hire.
The historic city of Cambridge is easily accessible for the day, and well worth a visit. One of the nicest ways to explore the city is by punt, which meanders through the city and passes many of the stunning university grounds. There are also many shops, pubs, restaurants, and theatres. Norwich, famous for its cathedral, is also within easy reach, and not to be missed. Don’t miss the famous mustard shop there as well, with many new and old varieties of mustard that can be purchased.
