Regular buses run from the village to the centre of the ancient walled city of York, 7 miles away. Steeped in history and brimming with attractions, York appeals to all ages. St Hilda’s Rest is a barn conversion tucked away in a secluded part of the small village of Hinderwell on an award-winning accommodation development. It is close to the seaside town of Staithes and about 9 miles from Whitby. This cottage offers superb accommodation and makes an ideal base for exploring the beautiful East Coast and North York Moors.
Having undergone a full refurbishment in 2019, this superb accommodation is both modern and comfortable, whilst still making the most of the building’s character and charm. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen/living and dining area. The well-thought-out space benefits from a designer kitchen and quality fixtures and fittings, all beautifully styled. The ground floor bedroom offers a sumptuous kingsize bed and en-suite wet room that would be suitable for any less mobile guests. With great access to Sandsend and the seaside town of Whitby, you can enjoy the picturesque coastline on your visit, or choose to explore the historic Whitby Abbey.
