Alnmouth, EnglandThe Gap is an attractive, stone-built cottage nestled around ½ mile from the peaceful coastal village of Boulmer. This property is divine. Oozing charm and character, there are many beautiful features ensuring the cottage offers a relaxing holiday retreat. Sitting at the roadside of a small terrace of three, The Gap enjoys privacy with its own independent access. There is a gorgeous wood burner in the living room, making this a suitable choice regardless of the season, and French doors leading to the garden enhance its natural light. Boulmer (pronounced Boomer) is a pretty coastal village with very little through traffic. Once the haunt of smugglers, it is one of the true Northumbrian fishing villages which remains virtually untouched by time. Meander along the water’s edge and watch the fishermen return with their daily catch of lobsters, crabs and salmon.
