At the rear of the cottage is a small private "sitootery" courtyard which is fully enclosed; ideal for a morning coffee, a sundowner or to dine alfresco after a day exploring glorious Northumberland.
    The local pub is but a five minute walk away down a footpath. It has a welcoming open fire and serves great food and local beers. It is also dog friendly. There is plenty of local fishing available for Salmon, Sea Trout and trout in season on the River Tyne. Provisions are to be found in Corbridge 3¼ miles further along the Tyne Valley.
