The Cider Barn is decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners who have years of experience in the hospitality industry, and the attention to detail is evident in every room.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. There is also a shower room upstairs with walk-in shower.
Outside you will find a Mediterranean style covered seating area complete with its own chandelier, barbecue area and private hot tub, all soaking up the wonderful views!
Set in the lovely village of Bishopswood, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust running adjacent to the property, you are only 5-minutes’ walk from the local pub and surrounded by miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Honiton is just 10 miles away and the beach at Lyme Regis can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Heading north, you will find the county town of Taunton with lots of restaurants, cinema, bowling and shopping, and within an hour’s drive you will find Glastonbury, Street, Minehead and the moors of Exmoor! Beach 18 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

On the outskirts of South Barrow and set in a peaceful scenic country location between Castle Cary and Yeovil, these two single-storey barn conversions, The Cottage (ref 27191) and The Barn (ref UKC2481) make ideal bases from which to explore south and central Somerset. Both are well presented, with lovely country views, and are the perfect places in which to relax and unwind. Within easy driving are Glastonbury Tor, the designer outlet of Clarks Village, Wells cathedral city and the West Somerset Steam Railway, all of which offer great days out. Other family days out include Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge, Wokey Hole or exploring the world famous Jurassic Coast. Welcome to Anchors Away, a wonderful and spacious, one bedroomed ground floor apartment in the heart of Blue Anchor, with stunning views across the bay to Minehead.
Step through the door and into your bright, airy and well equipped kitchen/diner, complete with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The cosy living room has comfy sofas and chairs to snuggle up on while watching TV or when gazing out through the conservatory to the garden and the sea beyond. Nearby, head to the medieval village of Dunster with its wonderful castle, spend a day at the arcades or shopping in Minehead, pop to Watchet and stroll around the Harbour or head inland onto Exmoor.

The high-end kitchen features electric hob, double ovens, built in microwave, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, and dishwasher as well as a breakfast bar, while the dining area has a large table with seating for 11 and the lounge has a Smart TV and comfortable seating. Off the dining area are three ground floor bedrooms, one being a master with king-size bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom and a further single bedroom; there is also a large bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower.
Upstairs you will find 2 further bedrooms, one being a large bedroom with 4 single beds, perfect for children as well as a double bedroom; there is also a bathroom on this floor with bath. Please note there is restricted head height on this floor.

The ancient town of Glastonbury is reached within 20 minutes and has several quirky shops as well as lots of history to uncover! Closer to Dronefield, there are walks in every direction, perfect for your four-legged family members to enjoy, or head to Langport and stroll along the River Parrett and the Somerset Levels.

Daisy Cottage at Manor Farm is a well-equipped cottage, set in an area of natural beauty in North Somerset. This smart barn redevelopment is set on a farm within the delightful fringe of the Mendip Hills, just 5 miles from the promenade, pier, sandy beach and SeaQuarium of Weston-super-Mare. Make sure you pack your walking boots, make a picnic and explore the stunning surroundings.
Daisy Cottage has cosy accommodation for two, including a fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in shower, a wood burner and a super kingsize bed which can be single beds on request. Children cannot stay at Daisy Cottage, apart from babies aged 9 months and under, for which a travel cot and highchair can be provided.
Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Wells with its magnificent cathedral, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet at Street and National Trust properties at Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute House. Splendid walks and cycle trails, and nearby Chew Valley Lakes is a modern reservoir and a mecca for birdwatchers and fishermen. Welcome to Holgates, refurbished in 2024 and beautifully presented, ensuring the perfect holiday in the Somerset countryside, just a mile from the Devon border. With a recently installed air source heat pump, solar panels on the property, ecological cleaning products and recycling of household waste, we take pride in our efforts to have as little impact upon the environment as possible, and we plan to continue improving.
Holgates is set on one level, accessed via the conservatory into the well-equipped kitchen/dining room, with wonderful views across the garden and fields beyond. In the living room is plenty of seating, an electric fire for cosy evenings and French doors opening onto the garden and views of the rolling hills. The inner hallway has a games table and leads to the two bedrooms and main bathroom. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, a TV and hairdryer. There is room for us to make up a cot. The second bedroom can be made up into a kingsize bed or two singles.
The enclosed garden has a terrace with table and chairs, as well as a coal barbeque, and you will find a selection of garden games in the conservatory. The hot tub offers the perfect spot for relaxing.
Situated on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the Quantock Hills and Honiton. For family entertainment, head to the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, The West Somerset Steam Railway, or for the younger ones, visit Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter. The Blackdown Hills themselves offer some superb country walking, wildlife, flying for the adventurous at Dunkeswell Airdrome or simply enjoy the local village pubs. Within a 40-minute drive, visit the Jurassic Coast and the seaside town of Lyme Regis, and slightly further afield Weston Super Mare, or even Bath with its many restaurants, shops and museums. South Coast Devon beaches are just 18 miles away and the Somerset northern beach 26 miles.
By arrangement with the owner and at cost, stables and fields can be used for your horse, with hacking and bridlepaths close by.

Whatley Lodge is set in an idyllic location at the bottom of a long gravel private driveway, adjacent to a small river where an abundance of wildlife, including deer and kingfishers, can be seen. This secluded location can be found in a small valley off the B3162 a mile outside Winsham village located near Chard in south Somerset, close to the West Dorset and Devon borders.

Located within an easy driving distance of many great attractions including Forde Abbey and Gardens which make for an interesting visit, or for great family attractions, the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Haynes Motor Museum are certainly to be enjoyed by all. Nearby, enjoy a cream tea at Hornsbury Mill or Barleymows Farm Shop, some Somerset Cider at Dowlish Wake, or simply take in some great country or coastal walking, golf at the nearby Cricket St Thomas Golf Club or visit the nature reserve at Chard Reservoir. Venturing further north is Clarks Village, the factory shopping outlet at Street, Glastonbury Tor, and further on to Cheddar Gorge and Caves.

The famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast is within a 30-minute drive with many picturesque towns and villages, taking in the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, West Bay, Seaton, and Sidmouth. Beach 15 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 1 mile in the centre of the village and restaurant 3 miles.

Further afield, yet only 30 minutes away adventure across Lyme Regis’ Monmouth Beach, famously known for its fossil hunting adventures that take place with a number of fossils and Ammonites being found, along with its amazing ammonite pavement it definitely makes for a memorable day.
