Moray Apartments are four coastal beach apartments in one Grade II listed building, originally devised in 1846 by J. L. Clemence for Sir Samuel Morton Peto for the development of Lowestoft as a fashionable holiday resort.

Positioned on the edge of the broads, Lowestoft is a traditional seaside town, with plenty going on with family entertainment, dining, shopping and nightlife. It has wide award-winning sandy beaches with all year round dog friendly spots and two piers!

For extra family fun, you’ll find Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park and Africa Alive, 100 acres of parkland and home to giraffes, rhinos, flamingos, lions, meerkats and a hundred other exotic species, just on the edge of Lowestoft. A short drive away is Southwold, well known for its brightly coloured beach huts, pier and fresh fish suppers. Aldeburgh, Dunwich and the Suffolk Heritage Coastline are all within easy reach.

Located in the ever popular village of Pakefield near Lowestoft, Florence Cottage is an original fisherman’s cottage, wonderfully renovated by the owners. An open plan living/dining room lends itself well to socialable evenings after a day of exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The wood burner is also an added bonus for those cooler winter evenings.

The cottage is only 500 yards from the beach, where dogs are welcome all year round, and the beach is a blend of sand dunes and wide open space. Further south, during the summer the promenade is very popular, with the Claremont Pier a big hit with little ones (and big kids!).

Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and is known as the ’sunrise coast’. You are ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Walberswick for a spot of crabbing. For those looking for fun on the water, Oulton Broad is nearby, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park, where fishing, day boats and riverside pubs and restaurants are the usual haunts of guests to the area. Cats Cottage is a delightful, semi-detached property situated just yards from the beach in the village of Kessingland. Further south, Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh all make for a great day out, from crabbing to a traditional Victorian pier. Each deserves a full day to fully appreciate all there is! You have RSPB Minsmere, 9.5 miles away and Orford Castle 12th Century former Royal fortress, Otley Hall and Gardens, and Easton Farm Park are all within 12 miles for a great family day out. Also worth a visit is Sutton Hoo, the popular market town of Woodbridge for cafés, shops, and restaurants. The Latitude Festival is 20 minutes’ drive away and is held annually at Henham Park.
