The nearby railway station means you can travel for a day out in Skegness without having to take the car and if you want to travel further afield then you can get to Grantham, Nottingham and Boston easily for days out. Shops, pub and railway station all within ¼ mile.

It is regularly awarded as one of the finest beaches in Wales and is backed by protected sand dunes. Being a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Morfa Harlech is now a National Nation Reserve, one of only 70 in the UK. It boasts numerous important sanctuaries for wildlife. In spring and summer keep an eye out for the three-coloured dune pansy, the pyramidal orchid or even the scarce bee orchid. When in ?ower, the dry dune grasslands are home to a number of butter?ies and moths, such as the six-spot burnet moth and the common blue and small copper butter?ies.
Other insects such as some of our rarest mining bees who depend on bare sand and you may spot a sand lizard, too. Ringed plover nest on the beach in spring and other birds such as the skylark and stonechat breed in the dunes, with redshank and lapwing using the saltmarsh. In winter wading birds such as oystercatcher, dunlin and sanderling feed along the shoreline, and wildfowl make use of the estuaries and saltmarsh.

For those with a head for heights fast jets can be seen training and photographed as part of the Mach Loop and flights can be arranged from the nearby Snowdonia Flight School to take you over the summit of Snowdon. Brackenwood is a distinguished and spacious, six-bedroomed period house with a separate two-bedroom cottage annexe, located on the beautiful Wirral Peninsula. In a prominent elevated position, it borders extensive areas of natural beauty with direct access to the beautiful woodlands of Caldy Hill. Offering far-reaching views, the property is detached and gated with CCTV making it private and secure. Filled with as much history as it has character and charm, it offers flexible and usable accommodation. The main house covers three levels, is beautifully presented, and luxuriously modernised to match the needs of today’s living. Upon entering via the original period front door, the grand entrance hall opens to a spacious sitting room where there’s a Fendi chaise lounge, comfy sofas, Smart TV, parquet flooring and beautiful Persian rugs. Next door is a spacious bedroom with a super kingsize bed and an elegant oak desk. The impressive underfloor heated kitchen/diner is based around a quartz top centre island and is a foodie’s dream. There are three inbuilt fridges (including a bespoke drinks fridge), plus a large larder freezer - perfect for entertaining. The AEG ovens and microwave are at eye level and self-cleaning; there’s a Nespresso coffee machine and an Alexa. The large dining table and soft seating space is flooded with natural light thanks to huge bi-fold doors, and the utility houses a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer. Finally there’s a downstairs toilet.
On the first floor is the master suite with super kingsize bed, sofa seating and TV. It has a vast en-suite with stand-alone bath and power shower. There are three further double bedrooms, of which one is en-suite, and the main family bathroom. The second floor boasts another luxurious bedroom with sky lights and en-suite facilities, and many of the bedrooms can be offered as twin upon request. All beds have pocket sprung luxury mattresses with 200-thread-count cotton linen, and duvets and pillows are ethically sourced goose/duck down.

Finished to a high specification throughout, it includes a luxury bathroom with walk-in shower. Brackenwood resides in a hugely popular location in the prestigious village of Caldy, a mere mile from the many attractions and services of West Kirby, including a fabulous array of beaches. West Kirby boasts the historic Hilbre Islands, the stunning Marine Lake and numerous boutique shops, restaurants and bars. The Wirral has an excellent range of leisure pursuits within its vicinity including sailing on the Dee Estuary, golf at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club and horse racing at Chester and Aintree. Bramley Barn is in a great location, situated in the village of Wick, a perfect holiday base for those who wish to explore the many attractions Wiltshire has to offer, or stay in and enjoy the house and its features. The barn is great for entertaining with a large dining room and fully equipped kitchen with island. There is plenty of parking on site and you’re only a 15-minute drive into the centre of Bath.

Nearby National Trust properties can be found within a short drive, as well as other stately homes. Head to Longleat Safari Park or visit Avebury and Stonehenge, all under an hour away.

Leave the car behind and walk down the hill to the train station, less than a half mile walk. Here you can jump on the train and visit the city of Norwich, or the traditional seaside towns of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. Norwich is only 8 miles away where guests can visit the cathedral, castle museum, theatre, excellent shopping and art galleries. Wroxham, only 7½ miles away, is known as the Capital of the Norfolk Broads, and has waterside shops, cafés, and daily boat hire with river trips available to explore the expanse of waterways. There is an RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 1 mile.
Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are within 14 miles and include Winterton-on-Sea, Waxham, Horsey and Sea Palling. For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds. Here you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitt’s Animal Adventure Park. Beach 14 miles. Bressingham Hall is a fabulous and historic estate located in Norfolk. It was originally built in the late 17th century, with subsequent renovations and additions over the centuries. The estate has seen various owners and uses during its existence. One of its notable owners was the Reverend Richard Congreve, a key figure in the Victorian era who contributed significantly to the gardens at Bressingham. His passion for horticulture laid the foundation for the spectacular gardens that the estate is renowned for today.

A hot tub can be booked and installed in this area at an additional cost, if required.
