This beautiful glamping lodge offers a comfortable stay situated just outside the picturesque market town of Helmsley. The property is set within the grounds of a working farm and retirement livery yard and offers breath taking views across the fantastic North York Moors which is just on the doorstep.
This quirky lodge has all the mod cons to make your glamping experience feel unique and special. The Nab has plenty of character and offers families and friends a luxury glamping retreat, whilst being ideally located to explore all that the North York Moors has to offer.
The property is set mainly over one level however you have a king size bed on the mezzanine floor which can be accessed by a steep paddle staircase, there is very limited head room but is an ideal area for children. On the ground floor you have a fully equipped kitchen which is shared with the living area and boasts a Smart TV and all the facilities you would expect in a self-catering lodge. On the same floor you have a small bathroom with a shower cubicle and heated towel rail along with a private bedroom with a double bed.
The enclosed garden offers a picnic bench along with a firepit which can also be used as a barbecue and gives you a full panoramic view of the North York Moors which is simply beautiful; luxury glamping does not get much more perfect than this. With the cottage situated near Helmsley, the local pubs, restaurants, shops and Helmsley Brewery are within easy reach, a short 6-mile drive.
The North York Moors National Park is full of bike trails and fantastic, scenic walks including the very popular Rievaulx Abbey. Nearby towns include Malton, Pickering, Thirsk, and a little further afield York. Also, the very popular coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are approximately a 40-minute drive away should you wish to have a day at the beach.

The Shepherd’s Hut is a wonderful choice for those looking to escape and enjoy life in peaceful surroundings, with wide open countryside just a short stroll away. The property has been equipped with all modern comforts with the added luxury of a private hot tub and fire pit to enjoy after a day out in the countryside.
Situated next to, but totally private from its neighbour The Steading (UK5834), each can be booked together to accommodate families or couples, and each lovingly furnished, enjoying the same attention to detail. Located just 4 miles from the centre of Montrose and a couple of miles from the nearest shop and pub, there is plenty to discover in the area. Glorious sandy beaches in Montrose, Lunan Bay or St Cyrus are wonderful for bracing walks or playing in the sand.
Montrose Basin is a renowned nature reserve and wildlife centre and in the winter, thousands of pink-footed geese make a spectacular sight taking off in the early morning to feed in the surrounding countryside. Away from the coast are the Angus Glens which form the foothills of the Grampian Mountains, with myriad walks and trails to be discovered. Golf, tennis and a leisure pool are in the town itself, or further afield the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen are almost equi-distant and have plenty of shops, eateries and theatres for an alternative day out. Stepping inside through the triple bi-fold doors, the open plan studio layout works perfectly for your romantic retreat, with the extremely comfortable, raised kingsize bed enjoying the highest quality sheets for the ultimate night’s sleep. The kitchen area is well equipped and has granite worktops, an electric hob and full-sized oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, allowing you to cook a meal at any time of day and then relax on the sofa with a glass of wine or a cuppa! The shower room has been finished to the same high standard, with a large electric shower and heated towel rail for your comfort. Underfloor heating features throughout making the pod the ideal choice for a holiday at any time of year!
There is a working equestrian facility to the rear and if you can bear to tear yourself away, then you are within driving distance of many superb attractions in south Somerset. Nearby are the great attractions of the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Classical Car Collection, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and Clarks Factory Village. There are numerous historic houses, the cathedral city of Wells and onto the delightful Cheddar Gorge and caves, while further afield is the historic spa city of Bath. There is a wealth of attractions and sights to enjoy and on your return perhaps stroll down to the local award-winning village pub, 1 mile away, to wine and dine.

This remote spot is accessed via a rough track and is the perfect place to base yourself and enjoy all the attractions the area has to offer. In under an hour’s drive in one direction you have everything visitors have come to expect from the adventure capital of Europe. Ride on the train from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, go surfing, abseiling, climbing or enjoy one of hundreds of suggested walks in this area of stunning beauty. The Snowdonia National Park can be reached within a 40-minute drive. In under an hour in the opposite direction is the North Wales coast and its spectacular beaches. For those wishing to stay closer, you will find the historic market towns of Ruthin and Denbigh, Bala, Corwen and the world-famous Llangollen railway and canal within 15 miles, boasting shops, cafés and local art and craft shops. The National Trust’s Gaol in Ruthin, Chirk Castle, and craft centre, are all perfect for a family day out.
