Marrion House is set in the peaceful village of Overton, an historic fishing village, and 1 mile to Sunderland Point, surrounded by salt marshes between Lancaster and Morecambe. There are wonderful views of the Lancashire countryside and the Lake District fells in the distance.
Marrion House is a spacious bungalow offering two bedrooms and a family shower room. The property has a large living/dining space and separate, fully equipped kitchen. The back courtyard offers a sunny south facing area to enjoy all day long!
In the village there is a family-run garden centre, a church and a pub which has lots going on for the whole family. Sunderland Point is set at the mouth of the River Lune on the southern shores of Morecambe Bay. It’s remote and secretive split of land allows the chance for nature to thrive, and thus, is a perfect spot for bird watching. The popular seaside resort of Morecambe hosts many attractions from picking up the freshly caught shrimp at the daily farmers market to afternoon tea’s on the seafront, there is lots to offer. There is an abundance of fun to be had for the family including bowling, cinema and arcade centres or why not try out the quirky cafés, pubs and cocktail bars along the sea front?
The property is just a 5-minute drive from the M6 motorway making it easily accessible to the south Lake District National Park and North Yorkshire. For golfers, Heysham Golf Club is just 2 miles away, and there are also courses at Morecambe, Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale and Silverdale. Beach 3 miles.

With its tastefully decorated interior and beautiful blend and co-ordination of comfortable furnishings, it provides a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to relax and unwind whilst making yourself at home. Set out over three floors each of the bedrooms are well appointed and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook up a storm should you wish. Externally there’s a private patio plus a lawned garden that’s shared with the other properties on the small row. Private roadside parking is also allocated outside for one car.
The real pièce de résistance however is the superb central location within this incredibly popular village. Uppermill is a vibrant, picturesque village brimming with real character and natural beauty. As you step outside a quick hop, skip and jump will take you to quaint shops, charming cafes, and traditional pubs where you can sample delicious local cuisine. Take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque Huddersfield Narrow Canal or explore the historic architecture that tells the tale of Uppermill’s rich heritage. Set beneath the rugged moors of the Pennines and on the edge of the Peak District National Park means nature enthusiasts will be delighted by the stunning landscapes that surround them. Acre Hill Lodge provides comfortable accommodation for up to six guests, and is all on one floor. It is centrally located for visiting the Ribble Valley, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks. Clitheroe provides the best of both worlds, including local gift shops, restaurants, takeaways and cafés, but is also a wonderful escape for keen walkers, nature lovers and cyclists too. Situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley, you are simply spoilt for choices of walks and local attractions. Explore the famous Forest of Bowland, known for being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are plenty of opportunities for golf, fishing, horse riding and hiking. The ancient Roman town of Ribchester is just a couple of miles to the south, home to the Ribchester Roman Museum and a fantastic choice of pubs and restaurants. Treat your loved ones to a stay that is sure to knock their socks off at Acre Hill Lodge.

In central Blackpool yet tucked-away on a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle is the wonderfully calm and serene Little Om. Upon entering the cottage you’ll find a beautifully presented living room with a double sofa bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is the master bedroom, with its peaceful décor and a sumptuous kingsize bed, pride of place together with the family bathroom. Four legged furry friends are welcome to stay, and there’s permit parking available for one car.
Blackpool needs little introduction and offers plenty to do for the entire family, with most of the action taking place around the popular promenade which stretches for 6 miles. Little Om is around a 10-minute walk from North Pier, meaning a vast majority of great attractions are easily accessible by foot. To name but a few, Madame Tussauds and SeaLife Blackpool are around a 20-minute walk, the famous Blackpool tower is 15 minutes, and the historic Winter Gardens around 10 minutes. The closest tram stop is North Pier which operates a regular service from Blackpool South right the way up to Fleetwood, meaning you can really travel in style.
Having so much to do and explore right on your doorstep, you’ll be hard pushed to know where to start. Pub within a mile.

A warm, homey feel fills this two-bedroom cottage ideally suited to two couples.

It is like stepping back in time when you walk into historic Heysham village, next to the sea.

Heysham village boasts The Royal Hotel having a sound reputation for great food with a large outdoor bar and seating area to enjoy the summer months. There’s a couple of quaint tea rooms and Glebe Gardens in the grounds of St. Peters Church overlooking the bay is worth a visit. From the village, you can also walk to Half Moon Bay, a sandy beach with grass-covered dunes and low cliffs.

The Haven, a cosy and inviting cottage, is accessed via an external stone staircase. A small hallway leads to the elegant living room where you will find plenty of comfortable seating, an electric fire, and a Smart TV, perfect for cosy nights in after exploring the area. Across the hallway is the dining area with seating for four, as well as a sideboard with board games and a retro radio which also plays vinyl records. In the kitchen, there are all the modern conveniences, and the kitchen also leads to the outdoor seating area. A spacious master bedroom with a king size bed is located on the first floor, the room is elegantly furnished to enhance the original stained-glass windows, this room also has a Smart TV. The second bedroom is accessed via a low head height doorway, the children will love it, and adults will need to take care, this room has a double bed and plenty of storage. There is a WC on this floor plus a full family bathroom adjacent. The bathroom benefits from a shower cubicle, bath, WC and sink.

Outside there is plenty of seating for four, the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or indeed a glass of your favourite tipple in the evenings.

Heysham was a quiet farming and fishing community until 1904 when Heysham Port opened. The village, dating back to Viking times, still has a historic old centre, a delightful maze of winding lanes and picturesque cottages. Discover ST Patrick’s 8th century chapel and iconic rock hewn graves on the dramatic headlands overlooking the bay. In the old centre of the village is Heysham Heritage Centre, housed in part of what was originally a long house it is an unusual example of surviving 17th century village architecture and tells the story of the village’s architecture and past industry in a series of exhibitions. Near the heritage centre there are two cafés, a quirky retro café serving a wide range of interesting cakes and lunches, and the other is known for its traditional homemade fudge. On the same road is a 16th century coaching inn that offers an extensive menu in its popular restaurant, real ales in the covered and heated garden bar. Beach is less than 1 mile away.
