Maesydderwen, meaning oak field, started life as a working farm and later became a country inn, but is now a collection of delightful holiday cottages, beautifully situated within the living landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The charming market town of Llandeilo, with chic shops and an array of good restaurants, cafes and pubs, is just over three miles away. This holiday property has CCTV and has been renovated by the owners who live on-site, and boasts a fantastic hot tub and comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends or couples. You have quick access to the independent shops, café, pubs, restaurants, and the many tourist attractions York has to offer. Other towns and cities close by are the fashionable spa town of Harrogate and the bustling city of Leeds. Brook Hall is also on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, both full of bike trails and beautiful scenic walks. Brook Hall is also very well positioned for both York and Wetherby racecourses, so why not have a day at the races? If you and the family fancied a day at the beach, the wonderful east coast can be found in just over one hour. A visit and tour of Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adams and truly one of his masterpieces, is one not to be missed with its dramatic clifftop location, as is a trip to the 18th century Dumfries House, part of the Princes Foundation and home to an unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture. The 2000-acre estate has been beautifully designed with stunning walks throughout the grounds.
The world-famous Royal Troon golf course is only a 5-minute drive. The pretty seaside towns of Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are only a short drive and there are very good rail links for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow. Another great historic site is Tintern Abbey. Perfect place for exploring the area whether it be on foot or by bicycle or for a fun day out nearby you will find exciting days out such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, Dean forest Railway. Chepstow also has a racecourse. The town of Chepstow is a 10-minute drive from Court Park Barn and has an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. The beautiful Cathedral City of Gloucester, historic City of Bristol and the pretty market town of Ross-in-wye are all just a short drive away.
