    It features open-plan living with water views through two French doors leading out onto the veranda and steps down to the garden and water’s edge. This is a perfect base for relaxing with fishing available in season (licence required). The lodge is situated with private quay-headed mooring, within the owners’ small private marina. Ideal for bringing your own or hired boat and mooring directly outside or bringing your kayaks and paddleboards. There is a bait fridge at the property.
    The village of Brundall lies within the heart of the Norfolk Broads National Park and is the centre for boat building/boat hire (pre-booking recommended), and has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, takeaway, fish and chip shop, fine restaurant and local pubs all serving good food, one across the river and the other a short stroll.
    An ideal touring base, with Great Yarmouth easily accessible by car or train. The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offer entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages, countryside and Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are easily explored by car.
    Also accessible by train is the fine city of Norwich, 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum.
    For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens.
