Oozing charm and character, there are many beautiful features ensuring the cottage offers a relaxing holiday retreat. Sitting at the roadside of a small terrace of three, The Gap enjoys privacy with its own independent access. There is a gorgeous wood burner in the living room, making this a suitable choice regardless of the season, and French doors leading to the garden enhance its natural light. The kitchen/dining room with its lovely slate flooring has good quality appliances. Two of the bedrooms and the family bathroom are conveniently on the ground floor too. An open staircase leads from the central hallway to the first floor where the master bedroom boasts en-suite shower facilities. Boulmer (pronounced Boomer) is a pretty coastal village with very little through traffic. Once the haunt of smugglers, it is one of the true Northumbrian fishing villages which remains virtually untouched by time. Meander along the water’s edge and watch the fishermen return with their daily catch of lobsters, crabs and salmon. The picture perfect seaside village of Alnmouth is less than a 3-mile stroll along the coastline and where there are pubs, shops and tea rooms available. There are two golf courses here too.
