Glenlivet View is a well-appointed, comfortable, detached lodge, situated in the heart of magnificent Speyside, home to over half of Scotland’s whisky distilleries and the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail. With panoramic views over the Glenlivet Estate and Cairngorms National Park, this is a stylish and cosy home perfect to either relax or explore this wonderful part of the Scottish Highlands. Inside, the open plan living space makes the most of the fine views from the patio doors overlooking the Cromdale Hills. Situated approximately halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness, just a short drive from Dufftown, there are many distilleries open to the public including the famous Glenlivet, Macallan and Glenfiddich to name but a few. A short distance away are many castles, National Trust houses and gardens to visit including Ballindalloch Castle, one of the most beautiful and romantic castles in Scotland. Many activities are available in the area including fishing, walking, shooting, golfing, cycling, skiing at the Lecht, a falconry centre and the beautiful beaches of the Moray coast, all within easy driving distance. This lovely, semi-detached Grade B listed cottage has a great location in the heart of Cullen on the beautiful Moray Coast. Perfect for friends or a family getaway, it has been lovingly restored whilst retaining its original steep staircase and low ceiling features, and the multi-level garden has a view of the sea through the viaduct. Just ¼ mile from the beach with many walks in the surrounding area, this cottage is perfectly situated for all the local attractions.

Cullen is a wonderful little village, a real treasure trove of cute shops and cafés, and a perfect place to spend some time. Don’t forget to try the local speciality, Cullen skink. The neighbouring villages are well worth a visit and golf can be found nearby also. Further afield, Elgin and Inverness can be reached easily for a day out. Beach ¼ mile. The Old Boathouse is an exquisite holiday home tucked away in beautiful Highland countryside in the Cairngorms National Park. Situated a stone’s throw away from the River Spey, within the Tulchan Estate east of Grantown-on-Spey, The Old Boathouse is perfect for those wanting outdoor pursuits nearby and generally reconnect with the great outdoors. Renovated to a very high standard, The Old Boathouse is a luxury lodge within its own large enclosed plot. Surrounded by Highland nature, there are many locals that visit the garden throughout the day and night including red squirrels, pine martens, red deer and a wide array of bird life. This luxury property welcomes dogs, and the garden, as well as the local area for walks, is an absolute paradise for them to run around in. The garden also boasts a charcoal barbecue and patio area with garden furniture, but the piste de resistance is the welcoming hot tub.

Entering the property through the front door you’re lured to the right where there is large living/dining room with a wood burner taking centre stage. This living space is set-up round the fire, and is the perfect room to relax in after a meal and a long day either fishing on the river or exploring the national park. There are stairs up to the master suite from the living/dining area, but first there is another room beyond on the ground floor; a large conservatory with a Smart TV.

Up the stairs, the master suite has a super kingsize bed that can also be a zip and link if needed. The former dressing room that links the bedroom to the en-suite shower room has been renovated into a further sleeping area with twin beds, making this a perfect family room for four. Back downstairs to the front door and directly opposite is the kitchen with extra breakfast table. Like the entire house, it is decorated to a very high standard. There are two further bedrooms downstairs, both with en-suite shower rooms and Smart TVs. An exciting feature of the house is the games room which is accessed from the garden. It has a table tennis table and a galleried living area with yet another large Smart TV.

With some of the best fly fishing in Scotland available only a short walk away, permits available through the Tulchan Estate, and other excellent beats only a few miles away, including at Ballindalloch, The Old Boathouse is an excellent choice for fishing parties. Because of its position in the Cairngorms National Park, it also caters for families and groups of friends that want to get outdoors exploring on foot, by bike and also on skis. There’s also the Speyside distilleries to visit only a few miles down river, and many interesting towns and villages to roam around. Stay at The Old Boathouse and you’ll end up visiting year after year. It’s a truly special house in a fantastic part of the world. Shop, pub and restaurant 7 miles.

The Bothy at Willowbank is our lovely cosy holiday cottage for two at the rear of Willowbank Guesthouse in Grantown on Spey. A tranquil setting, but nearly in the middle of village life. It features an open plan living area, a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom with large shower, washbasin and toilet, and a double bedroom. You will find The Bothy is a perfect base to stay and explore the surrounding area. Walks, whisky distilleries, and castles are at your doorstep. Just for hibernating, the Bothy is ideal as well. Although you can keep in touch with the outside world, as the cottage has its own Wi-Fi connection. There also is a flat screen television and a BD/DVD player.
Grantown on Spey is part of the Cairngorms National Park. From Grantown you can travel in all directions and explore a large part of the northeast of Scotland, including the famous Speyside whisky distilleries; even Scotland’s west coast can be visited on a day trip.
The Cairngorms National Park is a paradise for walkers, hikers and mountaineers alike. Whether just an evening stroll, one of the long-distance walks or climbing one of the Munros, this is the place to be. Birdwatchers are challenged to spot the birds you can only find in this wonderful part of the world.
Whisky distilleries invite guests to visit and have a taste of this Scottish ‘water of life’. The distilleries all have something special. Breweries use our water for another product, and they also invite guests to visit; and as gin is becoming more and more popular, also distilleries making gin are calling this part of the Highlands home. Other activities nearby include visiting castles, historic houses and gardens, cycling, fishing, golf, steam train, funicular railway to Cairngorm Mountain, visiting museums, wildlife park and reindeer centre. Grantown on Spey offers a choice of shops, pubs and dining facilities, all within walking distance.

Cullen is just one of the many jewels in the Moray Firth’s crown - a wonderful place for a great holiday experience! Spacious, with an airy feel, this house has a secluded sitting-out area with hot tub for guests’ use. It makes a wonderful place to relax in after a day out exploring the area or taking in the sea air along the gorgeous coastline. The owner also provides guests with towels. The property has ten bedrooms, three en-suite, sleeping up to 18 guests, along with another four shower rooms. To the rear of the property lies a quaint, gravelled garden that is not only home to handy storage for your beach gear, but to a bubbling hot tub; perfect for those days where you need to relax your muscles after ample walking or cycling along the coast!
The clear waters here are the base for a resident colony of bottlenose dolphins, and there are several companies in the vicinity running wildlife cruises, when you may also spot seals, many seabirds and even whales. Golf enthusiasts have a lovely links course practically on the doorstep, which has stunning views over the bay. Local dishes include Cullen skink, a hearty chowder-like fish soup; the nearby Cullen Bay Hotel holds the title of World Champion for this tasty dish! Moray is also known for its whisky, and there are many famous distilleries within an hour’s drive of the village. Cullen has a great variety of local amenities, good pubs and cafés, as well as a fabulous ice cream shop opposite the property. There is plenty to do here for all ages and abilities.
