Beech House is situated in one of the most idyllic and unique locations in the Scottish Highlands, with wide and awe-inspiring views across the Great Glen to the North face of Ben Nevis, which dominates the landscape and can be admired whilst luxuriating in the hot tub! Built as the new croft house for Seangan in 1986 and subsequently extended, this exceptionally large, bright and spacious house is situated on a working croft on the banks of the Caledonian Canal. The farm has been in the current family for well over a hundred years and the owners welcome visitors to experience the peace and tranquillity of the Highland croft lifestyle in one of the most renowned and unspoilt area of the British Isles. The hot tub and barbecue area are covered so can be enjoyed in all weathers, and to the front of the house is a large covered decking area with spectacular views to Ben Nevis.
Situated just 5 miles from Fort William, the opportunities for sport and outdoor recreation are second to none.  Climbing, hill-walking, canoeing, sailing, golf, fishing, skiing and cycling are all available within close proximity and the Great Glen Way stretching from Fort William to Inverness is close by. Whether you would like to tackle one of the many Munros in the area (mountains about 3,000 feet), or prefer to wander through the foothills of Glen Nevis, (where the film Braveheart was made), with its pretty riverside walks, or even take the gondola ride up the ski slopes to savour the spectacular views from the top, there is something for all abilities.
The world mountain biking championships are held here annually, and the trails offer a variety of routes for all levels. Take a trip to Mallaig on the ’road to the isles’ just 2 miles from the property, or travel via the famous steam train of Harry Potter fame, which runs along this route. From there, it is just a short ferry ride away to the Isle of Skye, and the smaller isles of Muck, Eigg and Rhum. A day out on the Arnamurchan Peninsula, via the Corran car ferry (5 minute boat ride) is a must. With its beautiful coastline, its pretty hamlets and villages untouched by time, and its lighthouse situated on the most westerley point in Britain, this will prove to be a unique and memorable experience. This beautiful semi-detached, 19th-century farmhouse tastefully blends original features with contemporary style, offering space and comfort in a stunning rural setting. Newburgh village is a short stroll with shops, art gallery and dining pubs. Golf, fishing, cycling, motor racing and sky diving nearby. Visit Perth, 13 miles, St Andrews, 20 miles or just savour the peace. Within walking distance of the property is Lindores Abbey Distillery which offers tours. Shops and pubs ½ mile.

Roangorm is a large, detached house situated in a spectacular location overlooking the sea in the quiet hamlet of Badinscallie. Set amidst stunning scenery in the picturesque west coast of Scotland and enjoying superb uninterrupted views across to the Outer Isles, this beautifully presented cottage provides a high standard of accommodation in a quiet and peaceful setting. The large living room drinks in the amazing views. There is a bright, modern kitchen and four generously proportioned bedrooms, all very attractively presented with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings. With two bathrooms and two double bedrooms as well as two single rooms, it is ideal for larger families or a two-family holiday. The gardens are fully enclosed and look out across the sea.

Just two miles away is the charming crofting community of Achiltibuie and the immediate area is an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise. Enjoy everything from hill walking and climbing to sailing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. This is an area designated as a National Scenic Area and wildlife enthusiasts are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding quiet spots to watch their favourite animals.

Originally the village school that served a small rural community in north west Sutherland, The Old School House has been transformed into a delightful stone cottage surrounded by its own enclosed landscaped cottage gardens. The lounge runs the length of the cottage. With the original high ceilings, large windows and Victorian fireplace, this superb room has a warm, welcoming ambience and provides plenty of space for guests to sit and admire the view whilst enjoying a wee dram or two in front of the open fire. There is a large double bedroom with a super king sized bed, a twin room and a small third bedroom with bunk beds for two children. They are all attractively presented with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings. The gardens are a real delight, with a stone slab path leading up through the flower beds to a garden seat from which there are spectacular views across the bay to Handa Island and the Outer Isles. The mountains of Foinavon, Ben Stack and Arkle are also visible.

The immediate area is haven for outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors generally. Hill walking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing are all local activities. There is a thriving pony trekking centre in the nearby village of Sheigra, with rides amidst spectacular scenery. Fishing in the surrounding lochs and rivers as well as sea fishing is a popular pastime. The area is also a haven for wildlife, with seals and otters in the bay and numerous varieties of birds attracted to the region.

The beaches in this area are renowned. Sandwood Bay is particularly noted, with a wonderful walk across the machair to its secluded sweeping sands. The nearby beaches of Oldshoremore and Polin are also renowned for their unspoilt beauty. Kinlochbervie is the nearest main village. The most northerly port on the west coast of Scotland, this pretty village has an active working harbour and offers good local facilities, including a shop and post office, as well as a hotel with restaurant open all year to non-residents for meals.

With the dramatic backdrop of the often snowcapped Cairngorm mountains and hundreds of acres of Abernethy Forest (RSPB owned) Nethy Bridge spans the lower reaches of the River Nethy a mile before it reaches the River Spey, one of Scotland’s foremost salmon rivers. It is conveniently located 4 miles from Nairn, which has miles of sandy beaches, 2 championship golf courses, bowling, tennis and shops; and ½ hour drive from Inverness. Close to Cairngorms with skiing, mountain railway, mountain biking and superb walking and climbing. Cawdor, 1 mile away, is a conservation village with quaint houses, PO and a tavern.
