This attractive bungalow is situated in a quiet residential cul-de sac close to the centre of the picturesque Cotswold market town of Corsham and is the perfect base to explore nearby Bath, the many quaint villages and National Trust properties or to just to get away from it all in the countryside. The nicely decorated property has been thoughtfully fitted out to be a comfortable and welcoming home for your holiday. On arriving, the pretty front garden has private parking for one car. The all ground floor accommodation comprises a light and spacious sitting-dining room with wide patio doors opening onto a secluded south facing garden where you can dine outside in fine weather. The kitchen is well equipped and quality food can be bought locally in Corsham. A small, sunny conservatory is the ideal place to relax or read whilst listening to the birds outside. The two good sized bedrooms are comfortable and quiet; one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. The bathroom has both a modern shower and a full sized bath. The thriving centre of Corsham is a short five minute walk away with many interesting independent specialist shops, a supermarket for general provisions and a traditional market on Tuesdays with fresh fish. There are several pubs and restaurants which offer a wide variety of delicious food. Corsham high street and Corsham Court have featured in period dramas such as « Poldark » , « The Remains of the Day » and « Harry Potter ». This magnificent stately home is open to visitors, and houses a renowned art collection; its peacocks can often be admired wandering round the town centre. The parkland is stunningly beautiful in all seasons and is free for you and your dog to enjoy. The countryside immediately around Corsham is rural and peaceful and offers miles of footpaths in grassy fields, ancient woodland and winding rivers. The Springfield sports centre has a 25 metre indoor swimming pool and is a just a two minute walk away from the property. The historic city of Bath is on a direct local bus route from Corsham where you can visit the Roman Baths, Bath abbey and the Royal Crescent; there is also a huge range of irresistible shops. Dyrham Park nearby has just undergone a stunning refurbishment. The picture-postcard villages of Biddestone, Castle Combe and Lacock are just a short drive away. Elegant Bowood House (9 miles) has a fantastic children’s play area for an unforgettable day out with the family. At the south-western edge of the Cotswolds this attractive historic market town is very easily accessible from the M4 (8 miles) and Bath (8 miles). The mainline train station at Chippenham (4,5 miles) is also convenient.

Locally, Corsham Court is well worth a visit where the impressive art collection can be admired or visitors can enjoy the scenic parkland, designed by Capability Brown. Easily accessible is the stunning city of Bath, where there is so much on offer, catering for all tastes, from the magnificent architecture of the Georgian terraces to the celebrated Roman Baths and wonderful abbey.
