About this property

Nestled within the beautiful rolling Scottish countryside in the village of Tomintoul, you will find this delightful newly built dwelling, Berg Cottage. This stylish, high spec and accessible cottage provides the perfect base for families or groups of five wanting to explore the magnificent Cairngorms National Park. The rural location has lots to offer if you enjoy spectacular scenery, walks and Cairngorm wildlife. The Glenlivet Mountain Bike Trails, Lecht downhill mountain bike area and the Lecht Ski slopes are ideal for those keen sporty types and if it's history you're interested in, venture towards the wonderful Ballindalloch Castle and Drumin Castle, dating back hundreds of years. Enter into the airy utility room, where you can pull off your mud splattered boots following an exhilarating afternoon expedition and throw your dirty walking gear into the conveniently placed washing machine. The underfloor heating will soon dry any soggy footwear. Made up of three well-decorated bedrooms, guests can choose from a spacious ground-floor twin, a snug single with dressing table or a bright and airy king-size bedroom that can be found on the first floor boasting large Velux balcony windows on its charming sloping ceilings and its own en-suite with a roomy walk-in corner shower, basin and WC. The Velux windows are complete with black out blinds for light sleepers but can also give star gazers the unique opportunity of admiring the night sky whilst gently drifting off to sleep. Wander through to the first-floor sitting room and turn on the gas stove before taking in the panoramic elevated views or making yourself comfortable on the sofa and turning on the TV to catch up with all your favourite shows as you wind down for the evening. Venture back downstairs and into the stylish kitchen to whip up a tasty family meal with the help of the practical utensils and appliances, to savour at the 6-seater dining table as you crack open a bottle of bubbly and toast to an exciting adventure with your nearest and dearest. Enjoy a refreshing shower in the downstairs bathroom or while away the hour as you soak up the bubbles in the spacious L-shaped bath, before grabbing your toasty towel from the heated rail and making your way into your bedroom for the evening. Alternatively take the evening outside and cook on the gas BBQ as you watch the sunset on this magnificent countryside setting and appreciate this wonderful moment. For an unforgettable holiday to Scotland, be sure to check into Berg Cottage. EPC Rating: Band B
