Bridge End Cottage enjoys access to the local amenities as well as resting on the outskirts of the stunning Northumberland National Park, making it a delightful base for couples or a family of five. Be welcomed into the inviting sitting room where you can look forward to relaxing with loved ones in front of a much-loved film on the TV. Continue through to find a spacious dining room and well-equipped kitchen where you can whip up culinary delights, ready to savour at the dining table over a bottle of fizz. From the kitchen you can access the outside courtyard, where there is a seating area for your morning coffee. The courtyard also leads to the wider grounds, and the Wreigh Burn. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom. Visit Northumberland National Park to take advantage of the area's many hiking and biking trails, including the Simonside Hills, Billsmoor Park, Grasslees Wood, and the route to Kielder Water. Alnwick is located further out and is home to the Baliffgate Museum and the Aln Valley Railway in addition to the world-famous Alnwick Castle, which was featured in the Harry Potter film series. The town's proximity to the Northumberland National Park makes it an ideal location for hikes in the area. The town's major streets are lined with the traditional stone buildings of the area, and there is a wide selection of stores to choose from. Golf, public tennis courts, and bicycle rental are all available in the area, and there are other historic homes and gardens to visit as well, such as Cragside, Alnwick Castle (the duke's official house), Wallington Hall, and many others. It's not too far to drive to Hadrian's Wall, the Kielder Reservoir and Forest, or the seashore, where you may relax on the sand or explore the dunes.
