An interconnecting door between the two cottages means that they can either be enjoyed independently or as one larger holiday home. Situated down a private lane on the outskirts of the small village of Pilling, these properties are ideal for exploring the North West coast. Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Fylde are all within a short drive. Alternatively, the Trough of Bowland, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all easily accessible by car. They are situated next to the owner’s working dairy farm, which has been in the family for over three generations and has been supplying fresh milk for the villagers for years. So why not sit back and relax from the comfy sofa and enjoy views over to Ingleborough all while watching the cows coming in for milking twice a day. As you arrive at the property there will even be some fresh milk for you to try!

    A short walk away is the village of Warton village with its local pub, where you can enjoy a traditional pub meal and local ales. If you like walking, Warton Crag is close by and is a prominent limestone crag which offers a fantastic opportunity to see views right across Morecambe Bay. There is a lovely picnic area at Warton Crag Quarry and many walks leading to surrounding nature reserves. The walk is within the spectacular Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Beauty. This region is also very popular with nature lovers, bird watchers and cyclists all taking in the shoreline, woodlands and marshlands (where you will also find the RSPB Leighton Moss close by).

    The property is situated between Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire, which makes exploring the North West of England incredibly easy, and the motorway is just a few minutes’ drive away. The Yorkshire Dales offers fantastic walking, waterfall trails, caving, the Three Peaks challenge and stimulating cycling routes, and is only a 30-minute drive. If shopping and history is more up your street, then just 15 minutes’ south you can be in the wonderful city of Lancaster, boasting a bustling high street and food markets every Wednesday and Saturday. The south Lakes is a short 30-minute drive north where there are an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities, and tourist attractions to keep you busy! Beach 5 miles. Pride of place on the seafront, you’ll find the laughing statue of the late, great Les Dawson, and on the other side of Fairhaven Lake, you’ll find the neighbouring town of Lytham. For people who love this stretch of the North West UK coastline, you can also explore Fleetwood, Cleveleys and the market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, all of which are all easily accessible in under half an hour.     Apart from being accessible for the coast, Pointer Cottage is also well-placed for exploring rural Lancashire. Ribble Valley with its pretty villages, excellent walks and abundance of country pubs is within an hour’s drive, as is the Forest of Bowland, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks are also very accessible by road and can be reached in an hour. The city of Lancaster is just 13 miles away and Preston is 19 miles.     Brand new for 2023, we are proud to offer Stork Cottage - a beautifully restored holiday home located in an unspoiled and natural hamlet.
    The front door leads to a vestibule with a boot rack and coat hooks, leading into the kitchen. The kitchen is bright and equipped with everything you may need, along with a small breakfast area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The original pantry is located off the kitchen providing extra storage, a washing machine, and an iron and ironing board. Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room where you will find a cosy sofa and armchair, plus a dining table and chairs. This room also benefits from a wood burner, TV, and DVD player. On the first floor are two spacious bedrooms, one double, and the other a twin, both beautifully furnished, with ample storage. The contemporary bathroom is also on this floor and features a large walk-in shower, sink with vanity unit, mirror, toilet, and heated towel rail. We recommend settling in and then popping next door to a hotel where you can sample their traditional beers, excellent wines, and homemade food. A restaurant serving tasty food and drink is also within walking distance.
    Conder Green is a pretty location near Lancaster and is a fine place for a walk, bike ride, or kayaking. The area includes the picturesque Glasson Dock, the Lancaster Canal, and views of the tidal River Conder which runs through the area.
