The famous Blue John caverns, Mam Tor and Peveril Castle are at Castleton (2 miles); golf, fishing, Derwent Valley Cycle hire and trails and summer swimming are within 5 miles. Benefitting from off road parking, the apartment can be found at the side of the local butchers and delicatessen, with a relaxing trickling brook running alongside. Accessed by external stairs, once inside you’ll find the décor is clean, fresh, and contemporary in style with characterful features reflecting the age of the property. The bright and airy living/dining area has a superb beamed vaulted ceiling, and the front facing aspect offers far reaching views over Hathersage and beyond. The bedroom commands the same impressive views, and in the kitchen, you’ll find everything needed to cook up a storm.
Hathersage is a large and attractive village within the Peak District National Park, that offers excellent facilities including shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Quite uniquely it’s also home to a public, open air heated swimming pool which operates all year round. An area popular with lovers of the great outdoors, you’ll find ample walking, cycling, and climbing available, with Stanage and Burbage Edge both nearby. As the gateway to the Hope Valley, you’re also close to excellent walking at Edale, and just 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Castleton. The fascinating plague village of Eyam is around a 15-minute drive; Bakewell and Chatsworth House are around 20 minutes. Finally, for anyone wanting to give their cars a rest, Hathersage train station is less than ½ mile and serves the cities of both Manchester and Sheffield directly, together with Bamford, Hope and Edale.

This beautiful Grade II listed stone cottage can be found on the edge of the famous village of Eyam, right in the heart of the ever popular Hope Valley and is surrounded by 25 acres of fields, gardens and parkland all for guest use. Dating back to 1820, Eyam View Cottage is set in a pretty courtyard and has been furnished to a high standard throughout. Beautiful thick curtains dress windows, luxurious bedding adorns beds, and the cosy living room is set around a magnificent open fire, perfect to settle down next to after a day spent in the open countryside walking, cycling, pony trekking, rock climbing or even hang gliding.

Fascinating Eyam is most famous as the ‘Plague Village’ and to this day information boards are strategically placed around the village retelling the story, together with craft workshops, tea rooms and not forgetting the fabulous historical Eyam Hall. Centrally located, just 15 minutes north of the hugely popular tourist town of Bakewell and 15 minutes south of the Peaks most famous village Castleton, its position within the Peak District itself makes it an ideal base. Chatsworth Estate and the spa town of Buxton can be easily reached within 20 minutes and the larger towns and cities of Chesterfield and Sheffield with their many shops, restaurants and theatres are within half an hour. There is horse riding and golf locally.

Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

Commanding panoramic views over beautiful countryside, this superbly converted barn also enjoys a truly comfortable and lovely, contemporary interior. Quiet and secluded, it lies beside the owners’ farm, just 1 mile from a village ’real ale’ pub and shop. There are fine restaurants nearby and good shopping in Wirksworth is just 3 miles, as are Carsington Lake’s splendid water sports facilities, cycle trail and fishing. Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom 5 miles, Chatsworth 10 miles, Alton Towers 20 miles.

This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.

The stunning scenery of Dove Dale and the Manifold Valley makes perfect walking or cycling country and Carsington Water offers abundant water sports. Set in the most fabulous elevated position, Rock Cottage really is a hidden gem in the very heart of the Peak District National Park. Located in the picturesque village of Birchover, with its scattering of inviting village pubs, this comfortable, detached cottage certainly has a lot to offer its guests. There are many trails which start straight from the front door, an ideal opportunity to park the car, put the car keys away and just relax! Birchover is a historic village within easy reach of Matlock and Matlock Bath, and local to Chatsworth House and many other historic attractions. The charming market town of Bakewell is also close by as is Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens. Based in the Peak District National Park, Rock Cottage really is a great base from which to explore the beauty of the region’s peaks, dales, rivers, cycle trails and network of footpaths. Set around a pretty courtyard in the charming medieval village of Over Haddon, Damsels Bower is a wonderful limestone barn conversion, boasting an impressive cathedral style, high vaulted ceiling and galleried living area, with one of the bedrooms overlooking the living area/kitchen below. On the edge of Lathkill Dale Nature Reserve, in the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park, there is fabulous walking available direct from the door. The Monsal Trail is just 4 miles down the road, providing a traffic free cycle to Buxton. Over Haddon village has a good local pub serving food and the ever popular market town of Bakewell is just 2 miles away with extensive amenities. The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall can be reached in around 15 minutes, and other Peak District towns and villages such as Eyam, Castleton, Matlock and Hathersage within half an hour. Finally for those thrill seekers, Alton Towers is around a 45-minute drive. Shop 2¼ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
