Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. The Pig Sty is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors. It has been modernised throughout whilst retaining many original features. The ground floor is a large open plan living space complete with a warming wood burner, leather corner sofa, a large LCD TV and exposed stone walls. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table to enjoy a home cooked meal with all the family. Head upstairs where you will find the bathroom and two generously sized bedrooms; a double bedroom which enjoys views over the countryside through the large picture widow and a twin bedroom which is en-suite. After a busy day exploring the surrounding area, the private garden with a covered hot tub (available at an additional charge) is a great place to relax and unwind. Double glazed with underfloor heating downstairs and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round. Additional towels and gowns are also included.

Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from the popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th-century church with its crooked spire twisting curiously from its centre, while the town offers guests the opportunity to explore the market and many of the specialist shops dotted in and out of the shambles. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. Carr View (Ref UK36953) is one of two holiday properties finished to an extremely high standard and the owner takes great pride in ensuring you have the perfect stay. On the ground floor you will enter into the boot room, which has a neatly placed washing machine in a cupboard, kick your boots off and enter into the beautifully designed open plan kitchen which has all you need to enjoy your self-catering holiday with the dining room which has ample seating for six guests made up of chairs and a bench. The living room is very cosy with comfy sofas and an electric wood burner to bring a wonderful sense of relaxation to the room. Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with zip and link beds that can be made into twins on request, the master bedroom has a slightly larger bed and an en-suite. The family bathroom carries the same quality as the rest of the house and has been done beautifully, with walk in shower and bath.
Outside is a garden with a patio area and lawn, perfect to watch the sun rise and set. There is also a river running through the site, and a lake giving the opportunity for some cold water wild swimming!
The helpful owners, that live on-site, are on hand should you need anything, and provide luxury towels, complimentary toiletries, a welcome pack and even a Christmas tree for holidays throughout December.
There are electric car charging points just 5 minutes away in The Anglers Rest pub car park, and just 10 minutes away in the Hope village car park.
The location of this property offers seclusion with many fantastic countryside walks from the doorstep and a National Cycle Route nearby, so you wouldn’t really need to take the car. Or alternatively, a short drive into Castleton to visit the caves or venture into nearby towns of Bakewell and Buxton. Absorb the life of a working farm in the Peak District by visiting the cows, watching the lambs play and the chickens from the dining room window. Squirrel Cottage has been renovated in 2023, to a tasteful and modern standard. As you arrive and step into the open plan living space, you will find a beautiful island (with built-in hob) in the centre of the room, which also provides dining space for up to four guests to sit comfortably. The kitchen has all the appliances you should need to cook up a storm if you wish to do so! The living area has comfortable seating with a large, wall-mounted, Smart TV and to finish the room off nicely; bi-fold doors lead out into the garden, which can be left open on days that allow.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed, which has the addition of a galleried snug area with TV and bean bags to give you a little quiet corner to enjoy, and also an en-suite with freestanding bath (please be careful on the laddered steps to get to this area). The second bedroom is a king which can be split into two singles if required, and has wardrobe space. Outside is a great size garden, which has a lawned area to the right as well as a patio directly outside the bi-fold doors. You can sit on the garden furniture and watch the squirrels!
Squirrel Cottage is located in close proximity to the town centre of Glossop, just a short walk away from all it has to offer, including coffee shops, pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets and shops. Manor park and gardens are also just around the corner. There is a variety of walks surrounding Glossop, such as, a car-free Longendale Trail which has beautiful scenery to take in while you enjoy your walk or cycle, plus you are only a 30-minute drive from Edale, Castleton or the spa town of Buxton, all offering further fantastic walking routes which are picturesque.

Entering The Stone Barn after walking up the garden path, you’ll find your shoe storage, hot tub towels and the ground floor toilet, perfect when nipping to and from the tub. The ground floor has a large open plan living space with French doors opening directly into the enclosed garden where you have a deck to enjoy your morning coffee, a patio with a table and seating for eight, and a brick-built BBQ. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay, whilst meals are enjoyed seated on the handmade tables and benches. The living area boasts a large L-sofa with ample space for a full house. The log burner takes centre stage so everyone can enjoy the extra warmth of the fire whilst chatting or watching a film on the TV.
The sheltered hot tub seats eight adults and can be enjoyed all year round, despite the unpredictable English weather! There are two en-suite bedrooms; the spacious super king is on the ground floor with a walk-in shower and the other is located upstairs with a kingsize bed and enclosed shower. The remaining first floor rooms also offer kingsize beds and share a larger bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. All the beds in the property can be split into singles upon request. Dogs are welcome in The Stone Barn; the fenced garden means you won’t need to worry about any escape artists, and the owners are happy to offer access to various fields on the farm for ’walkies’.
There’s nothing better than a refreshing walk in the country air and there are plenty of routes on offer right on the doorstep so make sure you pack your walking boots! A short journey by car reveals even more opportunities, from stunning natural beauty spots, with routes suitable from novice to the most-seasoned ramblers, like Stanage and Curbar Edge or the magnificent Mam Tor. Picturesque villages such as Bakewell and Castleton are great for coffee and cake pit-stops along the way, whilst there’s also tons of great days out for families such as Chatsworth Farmyard and Adventure Playground, The Heights of Abraham, and Alton Towers. Sheffield is only a 20-minute drive away and equally as close to the stunning scenery of South Yorkshire. There are two pubs within walking distance from the farm, plus more a short drive away.

Whilst Nether Burrows offers enough to keep everyone entertained, it is ideally positioned to explore all the Peak District has to offer. The bustling city of Derby is just 4 miles away and within easy driving distance are Chatsworth House (which boasts a famous collection of art treasures as well as beautiful gardens) and Haddon Hall (England’s most complete and authentic medieval house dating back to the 14th century). Carsington Water offers nature trails, a wildlife sanctuary, riding, water sports, cycle hire and a restaurant. There are many excellent pubs in the surrounding villages. Dovedale, Markeaton Park and the market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are also well worth a visit. Shop 3½ miles, pub 1¼ miles and restaurant 2¼ miles.

Sycamore Cottage is a stunning cottage located on the edge of the quirky village of Bonsall. Walk through the garden to the front door and you will see the sunken hot tub and an enclosed courtyard with patio furniture. Step in to the kitchen, finished with a modern interior whilst still keeping the tradition of the house, there is everything you should need here to cook up your favourite meals, and a dining table to enjoy it at. The living room has a large TV and ’wood burner effect’ electric fire with a comfortable corner sofa, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. On the first floor are two double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and with lovely views down the village. One of the double rooms can be made into twin beds on request. There is plenty of roadside parking close to the cottage.
Explore the village with its unique roundabout feature and quaint pubs. There is a walk along the Limestone Way straight from your doorstep which is a route running from Bonsall to Matlock. You are a short drive from Matlock Bath which boasts the famous illuminations annually, Gulliver’s Kingdom and The Heights of Abraham.
