Buryemwick is an 18th-century Cottage steeped in history, nestled in the idyllic Washburn Valley with uninterrupted views of Swinsty Reservoir. The property has undergone a full refurbishment to create a luxurious holiday home that is both in keeping with tradition, yet fully equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect from a luxury holiday home. Buryemwick is set within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by spectacular countryside making it a haven for walkers, cyclists and those just wanting to take some time out and enjoy some peace and tranquillity.
Families and groups can enjoy the views whilst relaxing in the garden which includes a patio with a hot tub, decking, barbecue and sun loungers, a great place to watch the sunset whilst having a glass of fizz, al fresco style. There is lockable storage for bikes and an area for washing your canine friends should you choose to bring them along with you. The property is extremely spacious and ideal for family gatherings of up to eight people. It features a large kitchen which is well equipped for food preparation, also creating a great area to socialise. You also have a snug with a wood burner for those cosy evenings, and a games room with a bar billiards table and a dart board, it really is the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
There are four double bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. Three are on the first floor, including a master bedroom which includes a delightful roll-top bath, and two further kingsize rooms that can be made into twin rooms if required. There is a further double bedroom on the ground floor of the property with its own en-suite.
There are plenty of places to visit and things to do in the local area. The Spa town of Harrogate, 9 miles, is home to the famous Betty’s Tearooms and the Turkish Baths. Take a trip to the pretty town of Ilkley, 12 miles, to stroll along the Grove with its shops, cafés and restaurants in abundance. Otley, 7 miles, is a great place to enjoy a walk along the river and the closest town for supermarkets etc. You also have instant access to explore the National Trust site of Brimham Rocks, 8.6 miles, and the World Heritage Site Fountains Abbey, 12 miles, which are both a must.

High Trees View has many features to the property guaranteeing a memorable stay for guests, whether it be the fantastic balcony which you access through the bi-folding doors from the stylish kitchen offering breath-taking views over the trees which surround the property, or the pretty little bridge which leads you to the elevated lawned area to the rear of the property, both ideal to sit out and have a drink al fresco style in the summer months before venturing out to the many pubs and restaurants within walking distance from the house. The top floor is the main living space with comfortable deep sofas, a great area to kick back and relax after a day’s adventuring and a well-presented, well-equipped kitchen/dining area, ideal for socialising with friends and family or cooking a meal for all the family to enjoy. Over the first two floors are four large bedrooms, three of which have en-suites kitted out with contemporary designer sanitary ware and plush fresh linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep. There is also a separate bathroom on the ground floor and is easily accessed from the ground floor bedroom. All bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and offer plenty of storage space.
The location of High Trees View is perfect; Knaresborough has its own fantastic market on a Wednesday offering local produce and is also famous for Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well and boasts an interesting castle, painted by JMW Turner, perched high on the cliff top. Stroll along the riverside promenade, relax with an ice cream or hire a boat and spend an afternoon ’messing about on the river’. If you did want to go further afield there is the stylish spa town of Harrogate just a short 20-minute drive, Harrogate is bursting with fantastic restaurants, pubs, and not to forget the world-famous Betty’s Tearoom which is a must for afternoon tea. Knaresborough is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales meaning there are plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning countryside, whether it being on foot or by bike, you will always have plenty to see and investigate. Glendon is just a short 20-minute walk into the centre of Harrogate meaning you have so much to explore. You have the world-famous Betty’s Tearoom right on your doorstep where afternoon tea is a must along with many fantastic restaurants, pubs, independent shops, and cafés. The Valley Gardens are nearby and RHS Harlow Carr can be found on foot, taking a beautiful walk through The Valley Gardens and Pinewood. Let us not forget that Harrogate is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales meaning there is plenty of opportunities to explore what Yorkshire has to offer, with it being on foot or by bike you will always have plenty to see and investigate. Walk direct from the door over the nearby moors or take a 5-minute stroll into the nearby traditional market town of Hawes. Here you will find a good mix of shops with something for everyone including antiques, traditional country clothing, fashion and gift shops interspersed with tea shops, restaurants and pubs.
