These charming holiday homes are positioned in a row and are nestled within the grounds of the owners’ 35-acre small-holding, amidst the peaceful sounds of rural life and just 2 miles from the coast. Each property overlooks a lovely pond, home to ducks and other wildlife.

Aptly named Galleri (ref UK31147) features a gallery with a reclining chair overlooking the living area. It has a seating area to the front looking across to the pond and a sunken garden with a private Jacuzzi hot tub to the rear, from which you can enjoy the tranquillity of Dolgoy, catch the sun or enjoy the starry skies.

Snuggle Cottage (ref PA2), one of a row, is a cosy, beamed stone cottage for two, with an open sitting area to the front of the cottage from which you can enjoy its tranquil surroundings as well as a pretty, private patio garden to the rear, with its own private hot tub, which catches the sun throughout the day.

Ponycob Cottage (ref PA6) is named after the Welsh name for pony; the larger Welsh cob, known for its hardiness and good temperament, historically used on the farm. This lovingly restored, semi-detached stone conversion features characterful beams, a private patio garden with its own Jacuzzi hot tub, and open seat area to the front within a truly peaceful setting.

The Coach House Loft (ref 30160) is set on the first floor and has been sympathetically created within the Coach House, also boasting a private patio garden with its own Jacuzzi hot tub.

The owners, who live adjacent to the properties, have lovingly renovated the buildings, and preserved their features and history whilst providing contemporary amenities and comfort. There’s so much to explore in Cardigan Bay but if you want a day out to Pembrokeshire you can reach the well-known family attractions of Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo within an hour’s drive. The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. There are lovely sandy beaches just a few minutes’ drive away. The picture postcard town of New Quay sits above the glistening Cardigan Bay, and there is a variety of eateries and pubs, along with individual seaside shops. Take a stroll along the harbour and try to spot the resident pods of bottle nosed dolphins that can be seen almost daily.

There are many interesting and beautiful places to visit including the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, just 15 minutes away by car, and the university town of Aberystwyth, with its long promenade and pier, cliff railway, camera obscura and Vale of Rheidol steam railway to Devil’s Bridge. Walkers, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts, or those who prefer more extreme sports are well catered for, and you can literally lose yourself in the wild undisturbed landscape of hills, mountains, and forests. There are 60 miles of coastal path, and even walking a small section of it is a fantastic way of seeing this beautiful part of west Wales.

In a rural setting, but less than 5 miles east of the seaside town of Aberystwyth, and with beautiful views of the Rheidol Valley, Maesbangor Farmhouse is a large property with lots of room to spread out. Previously two homes, but now combined into one, this spacious semi-detached house offers seven bedrooms sleeping up to 14 guests.

The Victorian resort of Aberystwyth, with its electric cliff railway, promenade and pier, is close by, as is the compelling Cambrian Mountains, dotted with hill sheep farms, forest and lakeland. Take a meandering train ride on what was once a working link between the local lead mines and the harbour; the Vale of Rheidol Railway now runs a steam train service through the Rheidol Valley to Devil’s Bridge, where you can see the famous Mynach Falls, Devil’s Punch Bowl and Jacob’s Ladder. When you’re done with exploring for the day, come back and relax at Maesbangor Farmhouse or visit the gastro pub, situated within half a mile of the house. Beach 6 miles. This is truly a perfect place for those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside, whether it be ion foot, by bike or with your dog. Take a stroll to Blaen Y Cwm Nature Reserve and head down to Monknash beach and watch the waves crashing on the shoreline. Enjoy cliff top walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset and North Devon. Beautiful Ogmore-by-Sea is 5 miles away with its huge beach and fabulous sand dunes. The lovely beach at Southerndown is close by too. For the more adventurous, the go-karting centre is just 3 miles from the property, Margam Park with Go Ape is 12 miles away and there are some beautiful walks to be had at Margam Park. The property is only 30 minutes from Cardiff and Swansea and the Gower Peninsula is not too far away. Pub 8-minute walk from the property. Nash point lighthouse is only 10 minutes away overlooking sandbanks, and the national trust Dyffryn gardens is only 25 minuites away. Or take a 10 minute drive to llantwit major, where you can catch the train to Cardiff, Barry or Penarth for a day out.

The nearest beach to Morfa Ganol Farmhouse (less than one mile on foot) is the very secluded and pretty beach of Traeth Bach. Access to this beach is a very steep scramble down from the coast.

Standing detached, Haulfryn has been renovated to a high standard in 2021 and has great views of the rolling countryside.
