There are many established walks, cycle paths, and routes running directly from the town and out toward some of the traditional villages. In the warmer weather, enjoy the Weardale Open Air Swimming Pool. Also ideal for children is the Weardale Railway which stops in Stanhope, and covers an 18-mile heritage line that chugs through parts of County Durham and has different events all year round. Other attractions include a visit to Raby Castle, or Barnard Castle with its lovely riverside walks and the famous Bowes Museum.

The second bedroom has a large king-size bed, hanging space and chest of drawers, and the third, spacious bedroom offers a single bed with underneath pull out and separate bunk beds - which are great for younger children or teenagers. St Mawes village offers a variety of shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants, all within walking distance from the property. From St Mawes harbour, you can take the ferry across the bay to Falmouth for more shopping, attractions and beaches, or staying on the Roseland, the pretty villages of Portscatho and Portloe are within easy reach by car. The Roseland Peninsula offers plenty to do, including sailing, kayaking and beautiful walks along the South West Coastal Path.
