Celebrate in style with friends and family at this substantial venue, sleeping up to fifteen guests. You can either relax at the property in the hot tub or large garden or explore the many things to see and do in the surrounding area. You can also enjoy a game of pool in the utility room which has a pool table and seating along with the washing machine, tumble dryer and Belfast sink. The kitchen has a warming Aga, and steps lead down to a breakfast area with a dining table and seating for eight guests. The larger, formal dining room has a dining table and seating for 12-14 guests.
This elegant, detached house is ideal for groups, families or couples and blends character with every day modern day comforts. It is perfectly positioned to explore the Norfolk Broads National Park and Norfolk’s amazing coastline with sandy beaches and RSPB bird reserves. Neighbouring the owners’ working arable farm (not accessible to guests) it is privately surrounded by its own large garden.
It has nearby links to public footpaths and bridleways, including Weavers Way, winding 61 miles through the North Norfolk countryside. Another way to enjoy the area is on horseback; there is a equestrian centre nearby (within ½ mile) where you can hire a horse for the day, or you can even house your own horse, with a variety of livery options available. The centre is registered with Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) charity. There are tremendous circular cycling routes via Dilham Canal and a wealth of opportunities for walking direct from the doorstep, so do remember to pack your walking boots. For anglers, there is carp fishing within ½ mile.
The market town of North Walsham, 6 miles, has a good selection of shops, supermarkets, bank, a weekly market, bowling alley, leisure centre with swimming pool, restaurants, and cafés. Worstead church is a superb 14th-century building, full of historic and architectural interest. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 6½ miles for daily boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. It also has a train station with links to Norwich city, 13 miles, for excellent shopping centres, theatre, market, castle museum, cathedral, cafés and restaurants, and coast and Bure Valley Steam Railway; a nostalgic 18-mile trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market towns of Aylsham and Wroxham, with wayside halts serving the picturesque Broadland villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall, where you can hop off and on to explore by foot. The popular seaside town of Cromer, 15 miles, has a beach, promenade gardens, pier, shops, cafés and restaurants. There are sandy beaches at Happisburgh, Mundesley and Bacton within 20 minutes’ drive. Felbrigg and Blickling Halls (National Trust), and Sheringham Park are all within a 30-minute drive. A must for families is BeWILDerwood at Horning, a tree top adventure woodland, 7 miles and Dinosaur Park at Weston Park, 19 miles. Beach 8 miles. Pub 1 mile, shop 5 miles and restaurant 4 miles.

Just 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness are the long white sands of the east coast. There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The owners have maintained many original features - exposed internal stone walls, beams and wonderful slate floors with underfloor heating throughout. Springdale Farmhouse can be found surrounded by open countryside on top of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, just outside the pretty village of Rudston and close to the thriving harbour town of Bridlington in North Yorkshire. This holiday home is perfect for families to gather and celebrate spending time together. The country style kitchen offers a host of modern appliances. There is plenty of work top space for preparing delicious home cooked meals for the family.
Springdale Farmhouse offers three different living rooms. The main area provides seating for the full group, a warming open fire for the cooler winter months and garden access out to the hot tub. In the evening take one of the two staircases to the floors above and find a selection of bedrooms to choose from. The master bedroom offers far reaching views and includes an en-suite. There are a further four bedrooms on the first floor. The final bedroom can be found on the second floor and spans the full length of the house. With vaulted ceilings, very low beams (height approximately 5 foot) and two zip and link super king size beds, this room is ideal for the younger visitors in the group. An enclosed formal courtyard sits to the rear of Springdale Farmhouse and is a sun trap during the summer months, and to the front of the house are neatly trimmed lawns and wood fired hot tub; here you can enjoy the stunning views, keep an eye out for deer, hares and owl or simply star gaze late into the night.
Explore the many miles of walking and cycling opportunities the Yorkshire Wolds provides. A visit to this area would not be complete without taking in the wildlife spectacle of RSPB Bempton Cliffs. The thriving seaside town of Bridlington with its award-winning beach is just 7 miles away and the stately homes of Burton Agnes, Sledmere House and Gardens and Sewerby House and Gardens are all within a short drive. Daisy Cottage at Manor Farm is a well-equipped cottage, set in an area of natural beauty in North Somerset. This smart barn redevelopment is set on a farm within the delightful fringe of the Mendip Hills, just 5 miles from the promenade, pier, sandy beach and SeaQuarium of Weston-super-Mare. Make sure you pack your walking boots, make a picnic and explore the stunning surroundings.
Daisy Cottage has cosy accommodation for two, including a fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in shower, a wood burner and a super kingsize bed which can be single beds on request. Children cannot stay at Daisy Cottage, apart from babies aged 9 months and under, for which a travel cot and highchair can be provided.
Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Wells with its magnificent cathedral, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet at Street and National Trust properties at Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute House. Splendid walks and cycle trails, and nearby Chew Valley Lakes is a modern reservoir and a mecca for birdwatchers and fishermen. Further afield are Exmoor National Park, the re-developed docklands and shopping of Bristol, and the memorable regency architecture of Bath. Beach 5 miles. This lovely barn is on the edge of the family farm, which has been superbly restored in 2021 and extended to provide great family sized accommodation with space for everyone to enjoy. Ideal for families staying together with two separate staircases to the first floor, a large south facing patio with 15ft swim spa, as well as a lawned garden for fun family games.
Just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards and within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and The Lincolnshire Wolds. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.
