    The Coach House was originally the old stable block, where the Inspector would have stabled his horses. It has been renovated and restored, providing a comfortable living space with modern kitchen and dining facilities. There is an eye level oven, induction hob, fridge with icebox, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. The living space has 2 small sofas, a large screen smart TV, from which you can access your own streaming accounts, cosy wood burner, books and games. The building has free high speed internet access. All you need to chill out after a long day walking in the peaks.
    There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, The Hayloft was where the food and bedding for the horses would have been stored and kept dry. It now has a spacious en-suite with shower with washbasin and WC. There’s a double bed and built in wardrobe with an east facing window giving a view over the hills and the exposed beams keep a traditional feel. The Coachman would have slept and lived alongside the horses. The Coachman’s room has an exposed brick fireplace and chimney breast, dark oak beams and a double bed. There’s a spacious en-suite with cubicle shower, WC and a washbasin with vanity unit in the room, built in wardrobe and a view over the hills to the rear.
    The Coach House is located close to the centre of Wirskworth, a fantastic, historic market town, offering many town amenities such as shops, cafes and pubs. You can easily get to places such as Matlock Bath, a walk down Cromford Canal, or to Chatsworth House. You are spoilt for choice with walking routes to take, whether you prefer hilly field hikes or keeping on a relatively flat trail there is something for all, Carsington Water is close by which is an 8-mile route around the reservoir, perfect for walking or cycling, but there are also many water activates and bird watching on offer too. There is something for everyone here and The Coach House is a perfect base to return back to.

    Bankfield Barn is an upside down conversion located within the village of Tideswell. On the ground floor is a double bedroom which is spacious and light, plus a shower room with generously sized shower. There is an under stair cupboard housing a washing machine. On the first floor is an open plan space containing a kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The kitchen is equipped with all you should require for cooking an enjoyable meal but please note there is no oven but in replacement an electric hob and combi microwave are available as well as an air fryer and slow cooker. The dining area provides a table large enough to seat up to four guests plus there is a breakfast bar. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa which can also be made into a double sofa bed on request, plus TV. On the first floor there is access to a private patio garden with garden furniture. Parking may be on street but there is ample of it with no time restrictions. Please use the drive for loading and unloading of belongings then just pull up in front of the house.
    Tideswell is a fantastic village for your Peak District get-away, there are plenty of walks from the doorstep plus the village offers a lot, such as a variety of pubs and restaurants, a local co-op shop, cafes, chip shop and local bakery. There are many walking opportunities in the Peaks with the closest to Tideswell being the Monsall Trail, Millers Dale and Castleton to name a few. Visit the neighbouring towns of Bakewell and Buxton for a casual stroll around or the stately home of Chatsworth House where you can walk the river and surrounding woods or buy a ticket to enter the house and gardens. Bankfield Barn is a perfect place to retreat home to for comfort at the end of a fun filled day.

    Head to the neighbouring towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock, all having plenty of things to do, or delve into the history at Chatsworth House and Gardens. If you prefer something a little more thrill seeking then Alton Towers theme park is around a 45-minute drive, or Carsington Water has a large menu of water sports available, as well as a nice 8-mile walk or cycle around the reservoir spotting the wildlife. Buxton also has a train station which connects you directly to the city of Manchester where you can be within 1 hour with late trains back available.
