Bolton Abbey is a great place for a family day out, offering plenty of walking within the magnificent 30,000-acre grounds and picture-perfect picnic spots beside the river. The charming market town of Skipton, also known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, is 15 minutes away which is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street and colourful street market. There is also golf nearby and a train station.

There is world class art on display at Salts Mill with one of the largest collections of David Hockney’s, and all surrounded by countryside and moors.
