This charming detached, single-storey cottage, with a beautiful garden, is situated only yards from the shore in the small hamlet of Kirkandrews. It is surrounded by stunning views over open countryside and only a couple of miles from the village of Borgue, with a local pub and restaurant. The nearest supermarket is 7½ miles away which offers a reliable delivery service.
Gullieside Cottage is situated only a short drive from the pretty harbour town of Kirkcudbright, locally known as the artists town, with many festivals throughout the year, including Scottish nights, classic car rallies, historic walks, a medieval fayre, a jazz festival and a spectacular Tattoo, as well as a good selection of pubs and restaurants. There is a large variety of outdoor pursuits on offer, including fishing, horse riding in Galloway Forest Park, cycling, golf and water sports. Threave Garden and Estate, owned by the National Trust, proves to be a popular visitor attraction. Little Beach is perfectly positioned in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with uninterrupted sea views from the front and green rolling hills to the rear. This shepherd’s hut, surrounded by fields of cows and sheep, has been individually hand crafted and bespoke-built using Siberian larch wood. Whilst boasting traditional features such as a curved roof, internal and external wood cladding, and spindle wheels, it has been designed with comfort and style in mind. Not to mention being incredibly spacious too!

The kitchen has been hand built locally and finished with a solid wood worktop, and tucked in at the end is a breakfast bar with bar stools. Comfy seating fits snugly in beside the wood burner and there is also Wi-Fi. A Smart television is wall mounted above the breakfast bar and French doors open out onto an enclosed veranda, perfect for watching the sun set over Wigtown bay and later for gazing up at the stars. The bedroom, although cosy, fits a king size bed with feature headboard and wall lamps and beautiful views of the hills can be seen from the window. There is also ample storage for luggage and bags under the bed. The bathroom is spacious containing a toilet, sink and shower cubicle.

Situated 5 miles from Gatehouse of Fleet and a 5-minute drive from sandy beaches, Little Beach sits on the edge of the UK’s first Dark Sky Park as well as being within a short distance of the Southwest 300 route. The Soup Kitchen has played an important role in village life and the local community of Borgue over the last 150 years or so. You won’t find soup served in The Soup Kitchen today but you will find a stunning holiday home to call yours for the week.
This upside down house sits on the edge of the village and enjoys superb views. One particular feature is the spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows and patio doors opening onto a covered veranda, which makes the most of the views and is perfect for sitting enjoying the morning sun over breakfast. From the living room there is a kitchen, again allowing you to enjoy the views and a lovely dining room which overlooks the village. Venture outside and you will not be disappointed, a hot tub is situated in a purpose built cabin so you can enjoy the bubbles in rain, sleet or snow.
Starting life as a house, then a Free Church and a school, it then became apparent that there was no need for two schools in such a small community so it became a store. On the 5th of December 1844 the idea came about to ensure every child in the community had the opportunity to have a hot meal during the months of October to March, hence the name “The Soup Kitchen”.

The Lodge on the Beach is a two bedroomed log cabin set in probably one of the most stunning and truly unique locations in South West Scotland.
