About 10 miles away, Chichester boasts a beautiful cathedral, Chichester Festival Theatre, and world-famous events at Goodwood and horse racing at Fontwell. The South Downs National Park is renowned for its network of scenic walks, and just a short drive away is the cosmopolitan city of Brighton to the east, Portsmouth to the west, and ferry trips can be taken to the Isle of Wight. Arun Cottage is a beautiful property that is right in the heart of Loxwood, just minutes away from Billingshurst, and 100 yards from Wey/Arun canal. There is a slight setback from the main road where the cottage is located. The cottage dates back from 1904, and the rooms downstairs are separated by open doorways. The kitchen is a reasonable size with country-style cabinets. The kitchen window looks out over the small patio area and the field where two white horses live. The kitchen has everything you need for a home-from-home staycation. The kitchen then leads to the cosy living room where you will find an open fire. This is the perfect space to relax after a long day on the canal which is less than a 5-minute walk away. From the living room, there is an open doorway that leads into the dining area with a bar. This room looks out to the garden, and there are two sets of French doors leading to the garden. On the first flight of stairs to the first floor, you will find the family bathroom with a walk-in shower and a view of the field at the back of the house. There are two bedrooms on this floor, and any of these rooms will be the perfect place to get a good night’s sleep. Up the stairs to the second floor, you have the third bedroom with a double bed and another family bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath. There is so much to do in and around Loxwood. There are two pubs nearby, both within walking distance, both offer food and receive favourable reviews. If you fancy a day on the canal, you can book boat trips and even take a Santa cruise during the Christmas holiday time. This can be booked via the Wey and Arun Canal Trust. The Wey and Arun Canal is the idyllic spot for a bit of bird watching and taking in all that nature has to offer. If you do not fancy a boat trip, then there are many scenic walks including The Wey-South Path. This is a walking route linking the North Downs Way and South Downs Way. If you are a keen golfer, there are some great golf courses nearby. The pretty town of Chichester is not too far away, and Arun Cottage is a convenient base for any of the Goodwood events and for the Loxwood Joust festival. Situated at the end of a lane, Pepper Pot Cottage is the middle section of a Grade II listed building in a beautiful quiet area of the South Downs National Park. On the ground floor, it has a good-sized living room with an open fire, a fully-equipped kitchen, a twin bedroom and a cloakroom with a toilet. Upstairs are two good-sized bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other a twin, and a bathroom.
It has a south-facing garden with a patio, garden table and barbecue for eating out, and is approached by a path which follows through to a further property. There is a shop/ tea room and pub 70 yards away and a community tennis court and recreation ground in the village. Next to the cottage is a bridle path. Low tide reveals a long flat expanse of sand and rock pools to explore.

This lovely stretch of Sussex coastline features a long promenade Worthing Pier and WOW (Worthing Observation Wheel) - the new giant big wheel with fantastic long-range views along the Sussex Coast and to the South Downs. At 46 metres high it is the highest observation wheel to be placed in South East England. The terraced property is located on the outskirts of Bognor Regis and the local area has plenty to offer to make your stay memorable. Bognor Regis is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the south coast of England, boasting lovely beaches, fun at Hotham Park, great family activities at the Butlin’s resort and much, much more. The South Downs National Park is also nearby for scenic walks, or there are plenty of attractions within easy reach, including many National Trust properties.
A little further afield you could take a trip to Chichester, where you can visit the town’s 12th-century cathedral and admire an area that is steeped in history. Check out Arundel with its historic castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, which is situated only 10 miles away and provides a good day out. The Goodwood Estate is well worth a visit and is situated just a short drive away, where you can enjoy an event at the racecourse, or simply just walk round and admire the beautiful estate. Also worth a visit is Fontwell Park Racecourse, which is only 8 miles away. You can jump on the train at Bognor Regis station and travel east towards Brighton, which is known for its cosmopolitan feel and has the Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres, extensive shopping, marina and other facilities. Alternatively head west to Portsmouth and its historic dockyard, and admire the Spinnaker Tower, historic ships or waterside dining. For an excellent day trip, take a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Tucked away at the end of a farm road surrounded by stunning Sussex countryside is the beautifully converted, detached, old dairy called Woodlands Dairy Cottage. You can take a boat trip along the restored section of the Wey and Arun Canal or along the River Arun from Arundel. West Sussex is famed for its many vineyards which can be visited.
Petworth House houses great collections and its deer park was designed by Grinling Gibbons. Cowdray is the home of British polo and the coveted Gold Cup which draws teams of the best players from all over the world. Goodwood, with its magnificent house, is also the home to the summer Glorious Goodwood horse race meeting as well as the hugely popular Festival of Speed and Revival for Motor Racing attracting motor enthusiasts from across the globe.
The RSPB’s Pulborough Wetlands are a must for bird fanciers. There are numerous beaches within 16 miles, good pubs and restaurants close by together with prime food shops selling local produce and two supermarkets within a 4-mile drive. There are plenty of golf courses, fishing is available locally, as well as many spectacular gardens to visit. Theatres at Chichester, Brighton and Guildford often have pre-West End shows.
