Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled with shower chairs available), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. 17320 also has a worktop which has been lowered for wheelchair access to the sink in the kitchen. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

The Stables is one of two newly built farm cottages set in a courtyard of a 16th-century thatched house. Surrounded by over thirty acres of fields, sometimes grazed by sheep it is a haven for wildlife and birds and a great space for a morning run or private dog walk.
There is plenty of space for kids to play outside of the garden area. Stylishly and comfortably furnished with wooden floors and open rafters, the cottage has a light, airy, and modern feel. Bedrooms have full doors which open onto a garden area with fields beyond. We are located between West Wittering famous for its sandy Blue Flag beach and dunes and the walled City of Chichester with its historic cathedral, a famous theatre, and many other attractions. Nearby Goodwood hosts world-renowned racing and motorsport events. You can fly in a Spitfire (expensive) from its aerodrome or at least hopefully see one flying over from the cafe or at the beach. Itchenor is a short distance here you can hire a boat or get the foot ferry across to picturesque Bosham. Boat trips into the harbour and fishing trips can also be booked. There are paddle boards, surfboards, and kayaks for hire, and lessons are available, Chichester harbour is an ideal place to practice or learn. There is a pay-and-play 18-hole golf course close by. Walking on the many beautiful coastal paths offers bird-watching opportunities and there are some lovely walks in the nearby South Downs. The Down and Weald Open Air Museum can be found here, a unique day out and where The Repair Shop is filmed.
Portsmouth is a 20-minute drive, its historic shipyard houses the Mary Rose and there are many more museums here as well outlet shopping at Gunwharf Quays. Ferry/Hovercraft to the Isle of Wight. National Trust properties at Arundel and Petworth are set in pretty market towns. Uppark is close by too along with houses/ gardens at West Dean and Cowdry. There are some lovely pubs and dining in the vicinity as well as cafes and more well-known restaurants in Chichester. The county is also home to many vineyards open for visitors. The bus stops for the beach/East Wittering and Chichester in the other direction are almost outside the property. The Stables and The Dairy can be booked together to accommodate eight.

A stylish barn conversion just outside Chichester, Oldbury Stables has been renovated to a very high standard to make a very comfortable and relaxing base for exploring the surrounding area.
The master bedroom and the living room have french windows opening out onto the private and enclosed outdoor space, allowing for relaxing transitions between outdoors and in, as well as providing plenty of natural light and air inside.
With three bedrooms and parking for two cars (if a third space is required then this is payable at a cost of £15 per night). And the enclosed patio means children and dogs are easy to look after too.
The owners live on-site in a separate building and are available for help and advice if required, however their home is completely separate.

Telegraph House, once an Admiralty semaphore station from the 1800s, now stands as a premium rural retreat following meticulous renovation. Doors from here and the hall open into a vast, well-equipped kitchen/dining area. Telegraph House is situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, with bridleways and footpaths on the doorstep, and surrounded by charming hamlets and villages. Compton is a traditional Sussex village centred around a small square with a lovely pub shop and tea rooms. The wonderful National Trust property Uppark House and Gardens can be seen from the house and is a 5-minute drive from Compton. The picturesque town of Petersfield is just 9 miles away; this ancient market town was originally built as a Norman ’new town’ at the end of the 11th century. The main square provides an attractive focal point providing the perfect venue for the traditional market every Saturday and Wednesday.

For days out for a beach trip, look no further than West Wittering’s famous sands (it gets very busy in summer!). A little further afield, Portsmouth is famous as the home of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose. The historic dockyard sits right next to Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower, which offer spectacular views over Portsmouth and the Solent. Beach 13½ miles.

Honeysuckle House is a very well-presented holiday home which is able to comfortably accommodate up to four guests over its two floors, providing a great location for couples or a small family to stay when looking to explore the Sussex area and wider south coast of England.
The owners have had plenty of experience staying in holiday homes themselves, so have ensured that you should have all you need for a comfortable stay. The property is dog friendly with an enclosed garden to its rear and the use of a garage allowing storage for bicycles, canoes or even a small boat. There is allocated parking in front of the garage. There are many activities to discover close by including golf, fishing, water sports, horse riding, boat trips and plentiful scenic walks.
Venture out south from the property and enjoy the extensive views of Chichester Harbour, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and haven for bird life. Sandy beaches at Hayling Island and The Witterings are all about a 20-minute drive away. Whilst to the north lies the rich and varied countryside of the South Downs National Park, with its many miles of bridle and footpaths, rural villages, and traditional country pubs to discover. A 10-minute drive to the east is the elegant cathedral town of Chichester, which has a Roman villa, popular theatre, cinema complex, leisure centre with indoor pool, and a host of restaurants, inns and shops. Bosham and Emsworth, both great for sailing are less than 10 minutes away. There is also a train station less than a mile away with direct links to London, Brighton, Littlehampton and Portsmouth.
The Goodwood Estate in the heart of West Sussex, famed for its motor racing, golfing and horse racing and home to the world-famous Festival of Speed is also nearby, as is the open-air Weald and Downland Museum and next door to that are West Dean Gardens. Historic Arundel is within easy reach, with a castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Park. Alternatively, to the west, you will find the nautical city of Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays with its designer outlets and waterside dining, plus the historic dockyard where you can take a tour around the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum. Southampton, the New Forest, and Brighton are all within an hour’s drive.

Located within the South Downs National Park, North End is a walkable mile from Findon with its village shops and four pubs and excellent restaurant, just 5 miles from the coast at Worthing, 11 miles from Arundel with its castle and cathedral, and 19 miles from Brighton. The country lane leading to the property emerges into peaceful countryside dotted with horses, cows and pheasants. You feel the peace and tranquillity as soon as you pull up to the gravel driveway of The Dog and Trout.
Upon entering the front door of this flint-clad barn conversion, you will find an open concept living area that contains a fully equipped kitchen as well as a living and dining area. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to activities in the area. It is a great location for walking or cycling, lying between the South Downs Way and Monarchs Way within the South Downs. There are many sites of historic or natural interest to visit, including the historic town of Arundel, Chactonbury and Cissbury Rings and the Weald and Downland Museum. Beaches and water sports are nearby at Worthing, Shoresham-by-sea, Ferring and Littlehampton, and shops and restaurants can be found locally in the village of Findon or further afield in Brighton or Horsham.

Built in 1790 and sympathetically extended to match in with the character of the original building, Well Cottage sits on a quiet, country lane overlooking fields and open countryside. A cosy, semi-detached character cottage, the inglenook fireplace with roaring wood burner is ideal for curling up in front of after a day out exploring and with the original oak beams overhead. There are bi-folding doors leading outside from the well-equipped kitchen/dining area which is well-placed to allow you to admire the views across the garden and to the duck pond in the field beyond. Upstairs, there is an elegantly finished master en-suite bedroom and a second double and single bedroom which share a bathroom and overlook the quintessential cottage front garden which will be blooming with flowers in the spring.
