This detached riverside holiday chalet, whose exterior does not do justice to the well equipped interior, has open views across common land and sand dunes to the mountains of Snowdonia in the distance. Overlooking the river where it meets the sea on the edge of this seaside village, it is 300 yards from a sandy beach, with another huge sandy beach half a mile away, and is on the coastal heritage walk along the rocky coastline to Church in the Sea. Trout fishing, golf, riding and a windsurfing school are all within 3 miles. Other attractions on and around the Isle of Anglesey include Holyhead Breakwater Country Park, a walker’s paradise, Henblas Country Park and Anglesey Circuit, Trac Môn, a fully licensed racing circuit. Shops and pub 50 yards, restaurant 3 miles.

Quietly tucked away at the end of a ¾ mile farm track, The Pigsty is a perfect, detached cosy retreat for couples, within the grounds of the owners’ former farmhouse. Surrounded by 6 acres of mainly mature woodland and gardens, it boasts its own secluded and enclosed courtyard garden which is full of birdsong as there are always feeders in the trees which are visited by many different birds including woodpeckers (watching the birds is always very popular with visitors). The superb spa bath is perfect for relaxing in after exploring the beautiful island of Anglesey.

The owners offer a very warm welcome, with a welcome tea tray and homemade cakes on arrival as well as excellent advice on places to visit. The Pigsty is also close to many cycle tracks, as well as others found across Anglesey. Within easy reach are beautiful sandy beaches, as well as a host of visitor attractions including Beaumaris Castle, a racing circuit and lovely boat rides to watch puffins or go fishing. Dotted with prehistoric monuments and with its entire coastline a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Anglesey is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers alike.
