Perfect for couples, friends and families who want to spend time together and explore this beautiful area. Refurbished to a good standard in 2019, Westburn provides a comfortably furnished holiday home that is a great holiday base from which to enjoy the wonderful facilities that Perthshire has to offer. Comrie is a friendly, traditional village with a high street with a local baker, butcher and greengrocer as well as a gallery, craft shop, small supermarket, cafés and hotels with restaurants and bar all within walking distance.

For guests with small children, toddlers and babies, the owners have put great thought into providing additional extras to make your stay a little easier. Facilities include a travel cot (spare linen available), highchair, changing mat, booster seat, bed guard, baby bath and a baby monitor. Even meal preparation has been considered too, with a hand-held food blender and bottle steriliser on hand. There are no low-level glass doors and all lower units are fitted with child locks. Westburn is truly the ideal retreat for greater peace of mind.

Great for walkers and cyclists of all abilities, from your front door there are many established public footpaths and cycle paths that lead directly out into the heart of rural Perthshire. The River Earn runs through the village and provides the perfect landscape for an afternoon stroll. For a more exhilarating walk, head to the Deil’s Cauldron where the River Lednoch cascades through a rocky gorge. There is a very scenic golf course, fishing, bowling and Loch Earn, 6 miles away, offering sailing and watersports.

For a family day out Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a short drive away and has much to offer all ages with a children’s play area, covered walkway to view the wildlife and a restaurant. After spending your day exploring, Westburn offers a spacious, welcoming holiday home to return to with the added benefit of an enclosed garden with a summerhouse where children can play. In a splendid location in highland Perthshire, Frith View overlooks the lochan and deer park. This is the perfect location for friends and family to spend time together and explore this area of natural beauty. It is a spacious and bright contemporary detached lodge furnished to an excellent standard. The living areas have floor to ceiling windows so you can take advantage of the ever changing views. Patio doors lead to the private decked area and is ideal for watching the stars at night. The country park, which comprises of several holiday lodges and is accessed via a rough track, covers 35 acres with a lochan that is a haven for wildlife all year round. A great location for exploring the great outdoors there are activities to suit all. For the energetic, there are seven munros to climb within 10 miles, including Ben Lawers, Perthshire’s highest mountain. Schiehallion, Dun Beag and Dun Coillich can be seen from Frith View. It is also ideal countryside for cycling and mountain biking in the forests.

For a day out, and only 5 miles along the road at the end of Loch Tay, is the pretty conservation village of Kenmore where guests can enjoy riverside walks, participate in water sports, take a boat trip on the loch or discover several excellent places to eat. The Croft na Caber Centre, which is a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling built over the water is one of the most renowned watersports centres in Scotland. The village hosts regular events, each January there is a ceremony to mark the opening of the salmon fishing season, as the Tay is one of the finest angling rivers, and there is a firework display at New Year. Aberfeldy is only a 20 minutes drive with local interesting independent shops, a supermarket, galleries, eating places, a community run cinema and an award-winning book shop. The famous Dewar’s Whisky Distillery offers tour and sampling and there are riverside walks and white water rafting for the more adventurous. A Highland safari takes you up into the mountains to see local wildlife including deer, peregrine falcons, ospreys and golden eagles. Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. There is a spacious lawn to the front of the which is not enclosed so pets or young children will need to be supervised. If you need to work while staying at the cottage there is high speed fibre broadband which has recently been installed.

This gorgeous cottage set within extensive gardens is in a superb location on the banks of the renowned River Tay in an utterly secluded spot, down a hidden beaten track yet within a 10-minute drive of the Fair City of Perth and all its attractions. A perfect choice for families or friends, it has been superbly renovated to provide extremely comfortable accommodation for discerning holidaymakers, with a warm and welcoming interior and tasteful furnishings. Built in the 1800s, the cottage was originally for the river keeper at the world’s first salmon hatchery, and the ruins of the ‘fishponds’ are visible from the garden today. The owners have made the most of the location with careful design of the garden which leads down to the river, allowing direct access to the riverbank trails along the River Tay, and nearby a well-maintained lade trail which boasts a beautiful scenic walk leading to a small isolated natural beach, Horsey Pool and Stanley Mills.

The owners really want you to enjoy your stay and are very knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. A nature lover’s paradise, the lade trail offers a rare opportunity to glimpse beavers and otters which are regularly sighted. Other British birds include ospreys, herons, peregrine falcons, woodpeckers, owls and kingfishers, all frequent visitors to the area. The River Tay is of course one of the prime salmon fishing rivers and fishing may be available by arrangement directly with the owner. The area is also abundant in other rivers and lochs all offering outstanding but easily accessible trout and salmon fishing at very reasonable prices.

Of course, you don’t need to be a fisherman to enjoy this cottage. The immediate area has lots more to offer, with Perth itself offering plenty in the way of culture and shopping as well as good restaurants and cafes. St Andrews and Gleneagles, famous for their world-renowned golf courses, are an easy drive with other highly rated local golf courses nearby.

The property is situated on the historic Scone Palace grounds, the crowning place of Scottish kings and the original home of the Stone of Scone, which is open to visitors throughout the year. This is the ideal secluded location for guests to relax and just enjoy privacy, tranquillity and stunning surroundings or to explore all the nearby attractions that Perthshire has to offer.

Escape to the tranquil village of Strathtay with this attractive three bedroom cottage. It is 5 minutes’ walk to the local post office and general store, riverside pub, restaurants and an award-winning chocolatier with coffee shop and gifts. Close by there is a children’s play park. Home grocery deliveries are made by some supermarkets. On the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the cottage offers a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty, making it the ideal escape from city life. Gushat Cottage, built around 1865, was developed from two separate buildings, cleverly joined together to make a unique family home.
Perfect for a family or group of six, this pleasant home boasts a warm and inviting open plan kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable living room with wood burner. Additional fridge/freezer and drying pulley in the walk-in cupboard off the hall. Sit at the kitchen table and watch the red squirrels and a myriad of birds feeding at the bird table in the secluded garden outside. Enter the cottage via the hallway and to the right is the lovely kitchen with open plan dining area. This leads to a large bright twin bedded room with en-suite walk-in shower and toilet. An attractive stairway leads up to the double bedroom and traditional en-suite bathroom with handheld shower and toilet. Across the hallway to the other side of the house is the living room with feature fireplace and wood burner. Overhead are the original wooden rafters. Another attractive stairway leads to the library with comfortable wing chair, small office desk for reading or catching up on emails. At the end of the living room two steps down lead to the spacious master bedroom and ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom, with large bath, a walk-in overhead shower, and toilet. You are surrounded by wonderful walks for all levels, cycling opportunities, golf, and water sports on the River Tay at Grandtully. The popular market town of Aberfeldy is a 15 minute drive west. There you will find the distillery with visitor centre, cafe, tours and tastings, the Co-op supermarket/fuel station and an impressive array of local shops, bars, and restaurants. Don’t miss the famous Watermill bookshop and café. The Birks Community cinema screens the latest film releases. Golf, tennis, and an indoor swimming pool are available, as well as an impressive children’s play park.
Continue 10 miles west and you come to the breathtaking landscapes of Kenmore and Loch Tay with its popular water sports centres and marina. The bustling town of Pitlochry is 9 miles to the east of the cottage and a further 11 miles north is the House of Bruar which attracts visitors and shoppers from far and wide. Nearby castles –Blair and Menzies – add historic interest and cultural events.

Woodside Farmhouse is the perfect space for a family or group of six. In an idyllic rural location, set up a farm track this delightful cottage is located just a few miles outside the town of Blairgowrie. Take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy the panoramic views from the front garden over the farmland and just switch off and relax from the hustle of working life. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out, with a comfortable living space for adults and children and a good size kitchen/dining room with all modern facilities. The bedrooms have super comfy beds and a sense of calm and the family bathroom with shower as well as another separate completes the property.

Whether you want to walk, ski, fish, cycle, shop or simply relax, it’s all on offer in the surrounding area of beautiful Perthshire. Blairgowrie known for its soft fruit production, in particular raspberries, and is a popular town with golfers and anglers; the River Ericht flows through and Rosemount Golf Club is one of the most highly regarded in the UK. It is also the main start point for the 60-mile circular Cateran Trail that walkers can follow around the historic drove roads used by cattle rustlers.

Further north there is a quick and easy access to Royal Deeside and the Scottish Highlands beyond. Ideally placed for day trips to many of Scotland’s favourite attractions within Angus, Perthshire, Fife and beyond, all four of Scotland’s major cities; Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen are all within easy reach, as are the Highland Perthshire towns of Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy.

The cottage is just 5 miles from the pretty town of Aberfeldy where you can find shops, restaurants, public swimming pool and river walks beside the "Birks" or River Tay. In addition, less than 3 miles away you will discover the historic village of Kenmore which has a post office, golf, pub, water sports, iron age settlement and Hotbox outdoor spa all situated at one end of Loch Tay.

The bright and spacious accommodation is furnished and equipped to an exceptionally high standard and the location is delightfully removed from the business of the world whilst still having lots to do such as walking, climbing Munro’s, exploring the nearby Whisky distillery or metalwork gallery, kayaking, rafting, wild swimming or even enjoying the luxury of our local outdoor Hotbox Spa, on the banks of Loch Tay at nearby Kenmore.

After a busy day exploring the picturesque area or indulging in activities the cottage is the perfect place to return to with showroom standard bathrooms to get refreshed in, a well-equipped kitchen to refuel you, three bright and spacious bedrooms upstairs with ultra-cosy beds, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and blackout blinds/curtains to ensure a restful night’s sleep.

The delightful sitting room has a wood burning stove and deep, comfortable sofas, making it a cosy retreat for all seasons and especially during chilly winter evenings with a smart TV and Netflix.
The cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside which is famed for its natural beauty and has French doors leading to the gated garden just across the courtyard through which runs the Keltney Burn (small river), where you can sit and enjoy a barbeque on our Weber BBQ or have your meal on the garden table with a view over the flowing water. (When in the garden we recommend young children are supervised).

Not to be missed is the Fortingall Yew, at 5,000 years it is probably the oldest tree in Europe.
Interestingly, it was already ancient when the Romans came this way and legend has it that Fortingall was the birthplace of Pontius Pilate.

The area is ideal for numerous outdoor pursuits including fishing, golfing, walking, mountain biking and water sports (kayaking, rafting, canyoning). Low level, forest and mountain walks are virtually on the doorstep. Walkers can enjoy everything from level woodland strolls to the challenges of Glen Lyon, one of the loveliest of Scottish glens and teeming with wildlife, including the elusive capercaillie. Mountain bikers have Drummond Hill on the doorstep with miles of tracks whilst, for walkers, the famous nearby Schiehallion (one of many local Munros) can be reached within minutes.
