These delightful barn conversions (refs 25589, 26477, 26718, 26724, 26726 and 29579) maintain many original features and are set in the heart of The Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The properties (except 29579) have all received a Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award. Within the grounds of the farm, these holiday properties offer coarse fishing on the farm lake, as well as many excellent walks and fantastic views across the countryside.
On the edge of the village of North Willingham, the barns provide an excellent base for exploring. Just 3½ miles from Market Rasen with its world famous racecourse, excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and market. Horncastle is renowned for its antique shops and is only a short drive, as is the unspoilt Georgian town of Louth with two busy market days a week. A visit to the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe or Skegness are always worth a day out, as is a visit to Lincoln Cathedral and the Bailgate area used in the filming of the ‘Da Vinci Code’. These pet friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. The access is via a typical Cornish narrow road with beautiful scenic views of the sea peeping out through the hedgerow on approach.
In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns (refs 30108, 30109, 30110 and 30111) are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Each property also has access to electric car charging points which a charge for use however if you require using the charging points you must bring your own lead. There are no local amenities as it is in a hamlet, but only a 5 minute car journey to the local village; we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself to your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay.
This barn has the private use of a hot tub, but please note the first night the temperature may not of quite reached it’s optimal temperature due to the replenishment of fresh water post cleaning the tub.
Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin.
Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

This recent barn conversion offers a real country charm and is the ideal place to enjoy a long weekend and escape to the country. It is an idyllic base from which to explore this stunning part of the New Forest and Dorset. All the accommodation - Larch Cottage (ref UK36198) Ash Hill (ref UK36199), Homewood (ref UK36205) and Sika Cottage (UK36194) adjoin one another and can be booked together to accommodate 20 guests, with the owners’ permission. All the properties have polished concrete floors with rugs and are furnished using natural woods of differing origins; each property has a stunning feature glass staircase. All the cottages have their own enclosed area with firepit and barbecue with outside seating. There is also a pizza oven shared between the four properties and can be booked on request.

Larch Cottage has wonderful views overlooking the woods and has a study on the first floor which is an ideal place to work if required. There is also a rustic play area for children and freshly laid eggs daily from the on-site chickens! For guests who may wish to bring a horse, the owners offer a stabling option by prior arrangement.

For those that like the outdoor lifestyle this will make the ideal retreat; there is on-site archery, axe throwing and fishing in the River Avon (licence required). Nearby there is horse riding, the New Forest Water Park, for kayaking and other water sports. For those bringing dogs, there are plenty of excellent walk, many of which offer great bird and wildlife spotting.
Places to visit include Alderholt Mill, which has a working watermill open to visitors and offers cream teas at the weekend during the summer, and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, which has Go Ape, orienteering, cycle hire, golf, forest Segway, walking groups, canoeing, petanque and craft making. Other places of interest include Beaulieu Motor Museum, Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World, Adventure Wonderland, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, New Forest Wildlife Park and maritime Southampton.

The bustling port of Holyhead, for day trips to Ireland, is a short drive. Golf, fishing, sailing, pony trekking and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, as are Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris castles. Spend a day at Plas Newydd Country House and Gardens (National Trust), the home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with spectacular views of Snowdonia across the Menai Straits. Also 3 miles drive away, are the glorious sandy beaches of Sea Palling and Waxham, often visited by seals. Visit Wroxham (11 miles), the capital of the Norfolk Broads, with its waterside cafés, restaurants, shops and daily river trips available. Also catch the Bure Valley Steam Railway here for a wonderful trip to Aylsham. Daily boat hire is available at nearby Hickling Broad and Potter Heigham, ½ mile and 3½ miles away respectively. Nearby attractions include many National Trust properties including Blickling and Felbrigg Hall and Horsey Windpump. Visit the seaside resort of Cromer (21 miles) with a promenade and pier, and Sheringham (26 miles), home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway. The city of Norwich (21 miles), with its cathedral, castle, museums, galleries, restaurants, cinema, theatre and shopping with two malls and market square is within easy driving distance. For another great day out, visit Horsey Gap (National Trust) where you can walk on the sand dunes and see the seals and pups on the beach (November to February). Beach 3 miles. Wash Farm Holiday Barns are situated in a wonderful peaceful location, having shared use of the welcoming indoor heated swimming pool. They are nestled beside the award winning Banham Zoo, a 50 acre zoo, renowned for its excellence in animal care and conservation.

There are many prescribed footpaths from the doorstep, so be sure to bring your walking boots to explore and admire the Norfolk countryside. In the adjoining paddocks there are several iconic East Anglian Suffolk Punch heavy horses to be found, the oldest and rarest of the UK breeds. Please do ask if you wish to meet them. Within the grounds is the indoor heated swimming pool and is freely available for use by our guests. Please remember to bring your swimming pool towels. The water is maintained at a very comfortable temperature and is heated by an environmentally friendly ground source heat pump.

Granary Barn (UKC5405) is a delightful, romantic haven for a couple’s getaway and offers charm and character with a high standard of comfort. The living room has oak floors and opens onto its private south facing terrace, ideal for al fresco breakfasts and intimate evening repasts, and overlooking the mature gardens. The bedroom with en-suite facilities is reached via a spiral staircase, has a high pitched ceiling and a glazed gable wall with French doors and Juliette balcony, which provides elevated views of the garden and paddocks beyond.

The original hay barn has been re-built to create Cedar Barn (ref UKC5406). It has the added advantage of a mezzanine bedroom above, overlooking the extensive well-furnished living area. An open-plan kitchen adjoins the living area with high ceiling and exposed beams. The hallway leads to a well-appointed shower room. Ideal for two, Cedar Barn also lends itself to accommodate a young family making use of the additional sofa bed in the living area. This is a dog-friendly holiday barn accommodating up to two dogs.

New Buckenham has approximately 98 acres of common under the custodianship of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, providing a network of countryside walks. Bustling Wymondham offers lots of great places where you can eat and shop. Visit picturesque Wymondham Abbey, a magnificent Norman church established in 1107 as part of a monastic foundation. Shopaholics will delight with the medieval city of Norwich, 35 minutes’ drive, with two indoor shopping malls, boutiques, a market square, the finest standing example of a Norman castle in the UK, a magnificent Norman cathedral, museums, theatres, art galleries and plenty of eateries.

The surrounding countryside provides endless opportunities for cycling and walking. For a change of pace, head to Thetford Forest and High Lodge recreational site with walks, cycle trails, more challenging mountain bike trails and Go Ape treetop adventures. In just 40 minutes is Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads. Charter a day boat, a kayak or a paddle board, or simply join an organised river tour. Southwold is 35 miles away for a day at the seaside, with a Victorian pier, or even a spot of crabbing at Walberswick. The North Norfolk coast is an hour’s drive to explore many marvellous sandy beaches, the RSPB nature reserves and marshes. Visit seaside towns of Sheringham, Cromer and Great Yarmouth, offering traditional family attractions and glorious beaches.
