Situated on a working sheep farm it is within walking distance of the village where you’ll find a children’s park and a railway station with regular trains to Skipton and Leeds. There are 2 pubs within a 3-4 minute walk. There are plenty of walks direct from the door, with the Pennine Way running past the farm offering a multitude of picturesque walks.
The market town of Skipton is just 3 miles away, known as the ’Gateway to the Dales’ where you will find shopping, a Norman castle and canal boat trips. Close by is picturesque Bolton Abbey, lovely to explore and stroll through the woodland alongside the river at any time of the year. Shop 750 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

At Lady Edith’s Holiday Park, you have a welcoming family friendly bar next to a play area, making this fun for everyone. You can also purchase a fishing permit for the local mere, or explore the nearby woodland. In Scarborough there are two bays. North Bay Beach sweeps in a crescent lined with colourful beach huts with the Sea Life Centre at the far end. You can walk from the North Bay all the way along the promenade to the busier South Bay. At the south bay you have all the fun of a traditional seaside holiday with arcades as well as many cafés, restaurants, bars and shops to visit. Both bays have lovely, large sandy beaches. There is also Scarborough Castle which stands on the cliff top between the two bays, as well as the casino and the funfair on the seafront.
Peasholm Park is wonderful to discover, you can hire pedalos and rowing boats to go around the lake and see the stunning oriental gardens. Scarborough is famous for its theatres. There is an outdoor theatre which stages concerts by some of music’s big names, and then there is the Stephen Joseph Theatre which is famous for the premieres of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays. The Alpamare waterpark is great for all ages, with its fantastic wave pool and waterslides, as well as a large heated outdoor infinity pool. Keep younger children entertained with the ’splash and play’ area. For adults there is a spa where you can relax and be pampered. The heated outdoor pools are warm enough to enjoy through all of the seasons. Further along the coast you also have Ravenscar, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Bridlington to discover. This great property is located in Garnant, 4 miles from the town of Ammanford and 15 miles from Swansea, a great location for those wanting to explore south wales. Take a bike ride in Lyn Llech Owain Country park, a 158 acre park of woods, lakes and forest tracks for those wanting a more leisurely ride, and for adrenaline junkies you can head to the rough mountain trails. At the end of a busy day, come back and relax in the lovely enclosed garden to the rear of the property and watch the sun go down.
If it is walks you are looking for then there are plenty of sites to visit in this area. Head down to the Four Waterfalls in Ystradfellte and take in the natural beauty of the Welsh land and see the water cascading over the rocks. Head on down to the National showcase caves at Dan yr Ogof for a great day out for kids and adults. Beach 23 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
