Nestled next to a stream and with a ramp to the entrance, this fabulous lodge comprises a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed and a ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double-ended two-person bath and a heated towel rail. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space has floor-to-ceiling windows making it light and airy and has a Smart TV, super fast Wi-Fi up 150 mbps download and patio doors leading to the decked area with a private hot tub. There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. This beautiful end terrace period holiday property is situated in the centre of the popular border town of Hay-on-Wye and within walking distance of its amenities. Maesydderwen, meaning oak field, started life as a working farm and later became a country inn, but is now a collection of delightful holiday cottages, beautifully situated within the living landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The charming market town of Llandeilo, with chic shops and an array of good restaurants, cafes and pubs, is just over three miles away. This holiday property has CCTV and has been renovated by the owners who live on-site, and boasts a fantastic hot tub and comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends or couples. The property has been awarded Bronze in the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards for self catering accommodation of the year 2018/2019 (3 units or more). There is an abundance of wildlife to see and enjoy from the grounds including woodpecker, siskin, marsh tit, goldfinch, nuthatch and wild roe deer. Red kites can also often be seen soaring overhead and there is a feeding station a 20-minute drive away. You can leave the car behind and enjoy wonderful walks directly from the cottage. If you can drag yourself away from Maesydderwen, there are the beautiful castles of Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr nearby, and the dammed lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach at the western border of the Black Mountains. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, 11 miles, with its great glasshouse dome at its centre, is a year round attraction, and within the Brecon Beacons National Park there are masses of paths and trails for walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, golfers, horse riders and wildlife watchers. A substantial house, sleeps eight, furnished with a variety of modern and antique furniture and formerly part of the stable block of historic Llanfoist House, this Brecon Beacons holiday house is a perfect base from which to explore this lovely unspoilt part of the world with much to see and do within walking distance.

Once housing the carriages for the occupants of the big house, including the legendary iron master, Crawshay Bailey, this is now a comfortable, spacious home with two sitting rooms and three en-suite bedrooms. The main spacious living room is comfortably furnished with ample sofas and arm chairs and has a multi-fuel style gas fire in the inglenook fireplace. The smaller snug-like sitting room is ideal for quiet times. Put your feet up with a glass of wine and a good book. Beamed ceilings carry on throughout the upstairs rooms adding to the character and charm of this lovely property.

Isla’s Cottage is a cosy 18th-century Welsh cottage situated in the quaint village of Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley. It’s central location is ideal for visiting the Gower Peninsula with its award winning beaches, the Brecon Beacons National Park and other local attractions. Ideal for couples and families. The cottage is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and lovely shops. The cottage has a multi-fuel burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a day of walking/activities. Other facilities include an enclosed garden with patio area, perfect for your canine companions.
The cottage is full of character, and downstairs you will find a bathroom with shower over P-shaped bath, a good sized kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. The kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with seating and a bike store, and upstairs there is one double and one single bedroom.
There is lots to do in this area, and with being centrally based, you can be on the beach in 40 minutes or in the mountains in 30 minutes. There are lots of walks to be found near the property, great for taking your four-legged friends. Horse riding is available a short drive from the property, and the award winning Dan yr Ogof show caves is great day out for adults and kids alike. The town of Ystradgynlais is a short walk from the property, where an abundance of restaurants, shops and pubs can be found. Shop ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Holly Cottage is a charming, spacious traditional 18th century end terraced cottage. It overlooks the old mining village of Cwmtwrch at the foot of the Black Mountain on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Next to the cottage is on site private parking for in excess of three vehicles and for any cycle enthusiasts wanting to bring their bikes, the property also offers a lockable bike store. Sympathetically restored, this welcoming cottage offers a cosy sitting room with exposed beams and wood burner, a well-equipped kitchen-dining area and three attractive, comfortable bedrooms. Slate flooring throughout the downstairs is easily cleaned when little paws leave a trail. The fully enclosed garden has a patio area with table and chairs, giving great views of the Twrch valley and making it a lovely spot to enjoy al fresco meals. There’s also a large lawn for your furry (and non-furry) family members to run around on.
The village has two pubs within 200 metres of the cottage serving good quality food, one of which is also dog friendly. There are three more eateries to be found within 2 miles, all of a good standard. There’s a local golf course as well as riding stables nearby. This wonderful cottage lies at the crossroads of four areas of natural beauty; For the walkers out there, the Black Mountain is quite literally out of the gate and onto any one of 3 footpaths, 2 of which follow the Affon Twrch all the way up the mountain the 3rd follows the Nant Gyws on the other side of the ridge. Just 25 miles to the northeast you will find Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons and 20 miles away to the southwest lies Swansea Bay, the Mumbles and the stunning Gower coastline with its internationally renowned beaches. The epic and romantic castles of Carmarthenshire lie just to the north, whilst the hauntingly beautiful Vale of Neath, and its waterfalls, lie very close by to the east. The National Show Caves for Wales are approximately 10 miles from the property and make a fantastic day out. Bike Park Wales is about a 30-minute drive east from the property at Merthyr Tydfil and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are 30-minutes south, close to Neath, with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts. Holly cottage really is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, walkers, families and explorers alike. A convenient, relaxing base, and a wonderful cottage for a memorable family holiday.

Cwtch Ty Gwyn sits on the owner’s land and has far reaching views of the rolling countryside of Brecon Beacons National Park and the picturesque Towy Valley. Decorated to a high standard, Cwtch Ty Gwyn is the perfect property for a relaxing break for families or friends alike. This eco-conscious property consists of an open-plan living space with spacious kitchen-diner and island complete with beautiful oak ridge lantern from which you can look up and view the stars. Kitchen is well equipped and also has a dining table. Step down two steps into the living room with its with Smart TV, unlimited Wi-Fi and Netflix and double sofa bed with deluxe mattress. Please note if sleeping in the living area there are no blinds over the roof lantern in adjacent kitchen-diner, therefore light will come through in the early morning however it’s just perfect for lying in bed and stargazing in the world renowned Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. From the living area there are French doors leading on to the slate patio area of the garden. The boot/utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and Smart TV, and a twin room, both with their own en-suite bathrooms.

The outside space is just fabulous, with a large slate patio complete with luxury outdoor furniture overlooking Llandeilo and the River Towy and an enclosed grassed area. Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.

The heart of Llandeilo is on your doorstep and the town holds various events throughout the year, including a music festival, jazz festival and the unique Festival of Senses in November. On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? A short but energetic walk across the famous King’s bridge and up the hill into the town which is renowned for its award-winning chocolate shop, gin bar, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants. Carmarthenshire is abundant with historical monuments, wonders of nature and fantastic beaches. Travel over breathtaking mountains and lose yourself in the solitude of the vast countryside. Within a few miles you can enjoy days out at Aberglasney House and Gardens and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, with the largest single span glasshouse in the world.
