Welcome to Bunny Meadows, here you will enjoy the freedom of a country holiday in a large detached, tastefully decorated farmhouse with a good standard throughout. A truly home from home experience providing en-suite bedrooms, every room being well-equipped and thought out with plenty of space and providing a relaxing atmosphere. Bedroom 4 and 5, on the first floor have interlinking doors, great for families with small children. It is the perfect location for a family get together to remember, with your own private paddock to enjoy with glorious views across the owner’s horse farm.

No expense has been spared on the comfortable beds and of course those little touches which will make your holiday extra special, including the huge farmhouse kitchen with Range cooker. Not too near but not too far, Bunny Meadows is surrounded by a wealth of historic attractions and you will be centrally located for Pembrokeshire and the whole of south Wales. The Gower has lots to offer and many tourist attractions are only a short drive away. Locally the towns of Carmarthen and St Clears are only a 6 minute drive. The village shop, pub and restaurant are only 1½ miles….no hustle and bustle of busy tourist towns here!
Take a trip to Llanstephan and enjoy afternoon tea in the mansion house or walk on the sandy beach and then visit the castle. Only 15 minutes away is Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, again with a beautiful sandy beach and castle with a tearoom. There is also Pembrey Country Park or Heatherton and Oakwood theme parks to visit or for younger guests (and parents!) visit Folly Farm with lambs, all things fluffy and even tigers and giraffes. A short drive away is Skanda Vale a multi faith ashram which welcomes 90,000 pilgrims a year for those who need a peaceful retreat to stay whilst visiting the temples. This great property is located in Garnant, 4 miles from the town of Ammanford and 15 miles from Swansea, a great location for those wanting to explore south wales. Take a bike ride in Lyn Llech Owain Country park, a 158 acre park of woods, lakes and forest tracks for those wanting a more leisurely ride, and for adrenaline junkies you can head to the rough mountain trails. At the end of a busy day, come back and relax in the lovely enclosed garden to the rear of the property and watch the sun go down.
If it is walks you are looking for then there are plenty of sites to visit in this area. Head down to the Four Waterfalls in Ystradfellte and take in the natural beauty of the Welsh land and see the water cascading over the rocks. Head on down to the National showcase caves at Dan yr Ogof for a great day out for kids and adults. Beach 23 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Springer Cottage is a spacious mid terraced holiday cottage situated in the village of Llansteffan, which itself is nestled between the Towy Estuary with its glorious sandy beach and the rolling Welsh countryside. French doors extend the living space into a fully enclosed, landscaped rear garden which benefits from a sun trap patio area and a back gate leading to the beach and the village itself. Inside, facilities such as a dishwasher and pet room/utility room, along with an abundance of soft furnishings, make Springer Cottage a haven of comfort and convenience.

A superb base for exploring the sensational counties of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Just a 300 metre amble from the back gate takes you to the centre of the village with its pub and shop. The Norman Castle dominates the headland above its sandy beach, 12th century church and ancient streets, this place often feels suspended in time and is widely regarded as Wales’s best kept secret! With fantastic views across the Towy Estuary to the village of Ferryside, Llansteffan boasts a foodie pub, cafe and a fine restaurant; plenty of choice for re fuelling following coastal walks around the headland of Wharley Point to take in the sensational views of the Taf Estuary and Laugharne: Those in search of further gastronomic adventure must head for Laugharne: Once home to the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas, it’s now home to numerous restaurants, pubs, cafes and galleries. Enjoy a a lunch time snack alongside the water at The Boat House Cafe, also part museum; this place was the last home of the much loved writer. Or feast on fine, locally sourced produce at Seaview, a splendid restaurant within what was once his first marital home in the town. With regular family friendly activities taking place at its magnificent medieval castle, Laugharne is a place you’ll want to visit time and time again. The county town of Carmarthen lies just 8 miles from Springer Cottage and offers plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, galleries, cinema etc. The town lays claim to being the oldest in Wales and originates from AD75. A roman amphitheatre remains in the town, one of only 7 in the UK. Legend has it that Carmarthen was the home of Merlin, the wizard of Arthurian folklore; something lauded annually at a summer festival celebrating all things myth and magical at Carmarthen Park. The Angel Vaults Restaurant provides a great venue for lunches or evening meals for those exploring this intriguing county town. Whether returning from the ’Go Ape’ adventures at Pembrey Country Park, pony trekking across stunning beaches or a boat trip out of Tenby to the serenity of Caldey Island, you can’t fail to appreciate the comfort and convenience of Springer Cottage.
