Trefechan is a lovely, detached bungalow set a mile back from the local village of Pumpsaint. A great place to base yourself to explore the local countryside. It has a large, enclosed lawned garden for those bringing their dogs, there is also a field in which the dogs can run around. This property comprises of a large open plan living and dining room with views over the open countryside, a well-equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with two single beds. It has a bathroom with a shower over the bath. In the garden there is a private hot tub which overlooks the countryside.
The property is 6 miles from the town of Lampeter which has an abundance of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. There are plenty of activities in the area such as horse riding, taking a walk in Cae Hir Gardens and a must see is a visit to the Welsh Quilt Centre. Less than a mile from the property is the Dolaucothi Gold Mines and a great day out is to be had here. The town of Llandeilo is 12 miles away, which hosts many festivals such as the jazz and gin festivals, the town is full of boutique shops and restaurants. The award-winning Nation Show Caves for Wales are 20 miles from the property, a fabulous place to keep children and adults alike entertained for the whole day. Pwll Farmhouse is set on the original farmyard adjacent to another stone-built cottage and offers the perfect space for friends and family to come together. Each room has been lovingly furnished to a very high standard, the open plan kitchen/dining room is finished with shaker style kitchen units, a large range cooker which is perfect for cooking that special meal and is the perfect social room. The spacious living room boasts a wood burner which is perfect for lighting on an evening and relaxing with a good movie. Each large bedroom has been thoughtfully furnished to an excellent standard with high ceilings, and the master bedroom has the convenience of en-suite facilities and even a feature fireplace.
Pwll Farmhouse is surrounded by rolling hills, meadow land, forestry and the meandering Afon Gwili running through this spectacular valley. It is situated off a quiet country lane and is around 3 miles from the activity village of Brechfa, made famous for its outdoor activities, with mountain biking, pony trekking, bird watching and miles of walking trails available for all abilities. With so much on your doorstep, there’s plenty to choose from and you can also enjoy some home cooked produce from the village pub and try some locally brewed ales.
The market town of Llandeilo, a 20-minute drive away, is well worth a visit, where you can stroll around this historic town. Enjoy meandering around antique and gift shops and enjoy a treat or two in one of the local coffee shops. A few minutes from Llandeilo is the National Botanical Gardens of Wales with Europe’s largest single span glasshouse, sure to make for an interesting day out. Beach 18 miles. Discover the charm and character of Ty Lewis Cottage nestled on the edge of the coastal village of Pwll complete with a village shop, traditional Welsh pub and walking distance to the Millennium coastal footpath that connects this stunning coastline. Here you can hire bikes or take a stroll from Llanelli, through Burry Port, Kidwelly and onto Ferryside taking in the Carmarthen Bay with lots of bird life and some stunning coves and beaches. This semi-detached cottage really does offer the perfect location to explore this wonderful area of Carmarthenshire. Close by, your family can enjoy the delights of Pembrey Country Park with 8 miles of golden sands of Cefn Siden beach, dry ski slope and acres of woodlands to explore.

Spend days visiting the market towns of Carmarthen and Laugharne, which was home to the famous Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, and is renowned for its iconic boat house, historic castle, and traditional Welsh pubs where fresh fish is always on the menu. Less than a 30-minute drive away are the coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot, offering sandy beaches, boutique-style shops, and thrilling leisure parks, including Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm. Come and enjoy the delights of Tynval, nestled on the edge of the rural hamlet of Bronwydd Arms near the market town of Carmarthen. This beautiful, single-storey barn conversion was once the milking parlour and part of the once busy Cwmgwili Mill Farm, which is steeped in history and dates back to the 1600’s. The mill, which is on the side of the farmhouse, stopped working in the 1950’s. The mill first produced flour and then was converted into a woollen mill which produced blankets for the war. The farm was built by the owners of Cwmgwili mansion, which is a short walk up the hill, and served as the source of food for the estate owners many years ago. The owners have meticulously restored Tynval and retained all the quirks and charm throughout, with vaulted ceilings, beams, exposed stone walls and solid teak flooring offering a superb barn for your family to enjoy.

It is just a 5-minute drive from the market town of Carmarthen and 15 minutes from the beautiful seaside village of Llansteffan, where the famous salmon river, the Towy, joins Carmarthen Bay. Here you can also visit the ruined castle, dating back to the early 12th-century, along with the Iron Age earthworks still visible to this day and which once controlled an important river crossing of the Towy. Enjoy a walk to discover this castle and its epic views overlooking the sand flats and the Towy river mouth.

Nearby is the Gwili Steam railway and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, which is home to the largest span glass house in Europe. Aberglasney, a few minutes away, is is said to be one of the finest gardens in Wales and surrounds a restored Grade II listed mansion which is perfect for cream teas whilst enjoying the scenery.
Travelling west is the historic township of Laugharne, the hometown of the famous poet Dylan Thomas, here you can view his writing shed, his former home and enjoy some fine locally brewed ales in his favourite pub.
