Set near the small hamlet of Ponthirwaun and close to the historic market town of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn, where you can find a plethora of restaurants, shops and a theatre. A visit to Cenarth Falls really is not to be missed and around a 5-minute drive, if timed well, you can see the salmon leaping up the falls which really is a fantastic sight. Nearby is the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran, which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, made famous for coracle fishing.

Locally there is a host of beaches to discover with Aberporth, Poppit Sands and Mwnt beach all within a 30-minute drive and perfect for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Upon arrival, you are presented with an open plan kitchen and living room area providing a warm and cosy feel. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials, including a breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen/living area to the back of the cottage is a small outside space with patio seating to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or a place to relax after a long day out. There is also a bike storage for those outdoor adventure types. Upstairs is a spacious double bedroom, decorated to a very good standard and is an ideal place to unwind. Next door to the bedroom is a modern bathroom, featuring a shower over the bath.
Only 10 minutes’ walk away you will find a beautiful shingle bank with a half mile long sandy beach. In the village you will discover a lovely café, and a nice traditional pub. Llanrhystud lies on the Ceredigion Coast Path, part of the Wales Coast Path, which is 14 miles starting from Morfa Farm caravan park in Llanrhystud to New Quay, passing spectacular sea views along the way and centuries of history, heritage, and culture, for any walkers this is a must do; perhaps discover Aberaeron for the day, only seven miles away.

Aberystwyth’s town high street benefits from many shops, mainly independent boutique shops with some high street names mixed in, whilst the nearby retail outlets offer larger named and designer brands. The market town of Cardigan is just 2 miles away, on the borders of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, making this the ideal location to explore west Wales. A trip to Cardigan is a must, try the bustling local farmers market and visit the restored Cardigan Castle with over 900 years of history waiting to be explored. The Welsh Wildlife Centre is located in the nearby small village of Cilgerran and is one of the best wetland reserves in Wales. Perhaps take a short drive to Cenarth Falls, where if your lucky enough, you may see the salmon leaping up through the falls travelling upstream. A plethora of beaches can be reached in a 10-minute drive, including the renowned Poppit Beach. Beach 5 miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub ½ mile.

Penbryn beach, approximately 2 miles away, is a long sandy beach which is lovely for walking. The nearest beach to Morfa Ganol Farmhouse (less than one mile on foot) is the very secluded and pretty beach of Traeth Bach. Access to this beach is a very steep scramble down from the coast.
