All on the ground floor, The Roost has easy access to the coast and beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.
Step inside to find a light-filled, open-plan living area with exposed beams and vaulted ceiling. The interior design throughout this holiday home brings the outside in, and the sage green kitchen is no exception offering a host of modern appliances. There is plenty of worktop space from which to prepare some delicious home-cooked recipes whilst the dining table sits close at hand. Unwind during the evening on the deep sofa and tune into the Smart TV. Retire on an evening to one of two beautifully presented bedrooms, a kingsize and a twin room. Both rooms are flooded with natural light from Velux windows, and the exposed beams add an air of history. For those who enjoy the outdoors, this area is packed with opportunities from the Spurn Point National Nature Reserve to RSPB Bempton Cliffs. The East Riding and The Yorkshire Wolds offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities, and there is also a great golf course close by. These properties are ideal for couples or families, offering couple, spacious accommodation and private outdoor spaces with hot tubs. There is also a shared games room with table football, table tennis and magnetic darts, and for guests who would like to bring their horse, stabling can be arranged by prior arrangement with the owner.

Many thoughtful and personal touches have been added, such as books, family games and a record player with a large selection of vinyl records. All of the rooms have a sumptuous feel, with careful co-ordination, very high levels of comfort and design. A must is a wander around the pretty little town of Kirkcudbright only a short drive away. With its busy harbour, you can watch the fishing boats return with their catch or visit the famous Broughton House, once the home of E. A. Hornel, or experience the Arts and Crafts Trail.
A must for children and adults alike is a visit to the Dark Sky Planetarium a state-of-the-art interactive science and space-themed experience for everyone or you just may prefer the Dark Art Gin Distillery next door! Throughout the year the town hosts a diverse range of annual events from farmers’ markets, a country fair, a jazz festival, a festival of light, the riding of the marches and, of course, the spectacular tattoo, an event not to be missed.
