Wainfleet has a supermarket, good range of shops and takeaways as well as pubs to enjoy all within ¼-mile. The nearby railway station means you can travel for a day out in Skegness without having to take the car and if you want to travel further afield then you can get to Grantham, Nottingham and Boston easily for days out. Shops, pub and railway station all within ¼ mile.

This spacious, detached house lies on the shore of Prestwick beach in Ayrshire. It is totally secluded yet only a 10-minute walk to the town centre with amenities including boutique shops, restaurants, bars and cafés. The 4-acre grounds include lawns, wilder areas and plenty of room to kick a ball and run around. The large grassed lawn leads directly down onto the beach and boasts stunning views over the sea to the Isle of Arran, renowned for its fantastic sunsets. There is also a private hot tub with views over the sea.
Situated directly on the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk with one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles. Crowned with a superb backdrop of the ever-changing profile of the mountains of Arran across the Firth of Clyde, this coastline is steeped in history and teeming with wildlife including red squirrels, deer, otters and seals; it is also a haven for birdwatchers. The River Ayr Way, a 40 mile ’source to sea’ walk is also easily accessed.
Inland, there are gardens and castles to visit and activities such as riding and golf to enjoy. The many golf courses include the world famous Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry courses, both close to hand, with Turnberry also having a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. Culzean Castle (National Trust Scotland) is spectacular and is Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction.
The islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute are all easily reached by ferry for a day out. Troon and Ayr are only a short drive away. Prestwick town has a very good rail service for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow and also historic Edinburgh. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. Bod Eithin is spacious and furnished to a high standard. It is ideally located for families, as it is a short walk from the award winning 4 mile long, sandy Harlech beach. It is regularly awarded as one of the finest beaches in Wales and is backed by protected sand dunes. Being a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Morfa Harlech is now a National Nation Reserve, one of only 70 in the UK. It boasts numerous important sanctuaries for wildlife. In spring and summer keep an eye out for the three-coloured dune pansy, the pyramidal orchid or even the scarce bee orchid. When in ?ower, the dry dune grasslands are home to a number of butter?ies and moths, such as the six-spot burnet moth and the common blue and small copper butter?ies.
Other insects such as some of our rarest mining bees who depend on bare sand and you may spot a sand lizard, too. Ringed plover nest on the beach in spring and other birds such as the skylark and stonechat breed in the dunes, with redshank and lapwing using the saltmarsh. In winter wading birds such as oystercatcher, dunlin and sanderling feed along the shoreline, and wildfowl make use of the estuaries and saltmarsh.
Situated within the Snowdonia National Park, Bod Eithin is perfectly placed for reaching the tourist attractions of Zip World, Llanfair Slate Caverns, Shell Island, Portmeirion, Porthmadog, Barmouth, Beddgelert, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and Coed-y-Brenin Forest. The town of Harlech is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, courtesy of Harlech Castle built in 1282 and a world record holder for the steepest street in the world at 37.54%, Fford pen Llech. The world renowned Royal St David’s Golf Course is opposite (a top 50 course in Great Britain & Ireland). Walkers, mountain bikers, climbers, bird watchers and fishermen will find plenty to test their skills in the area, and for those wanting to travel slightly further, Snowdon, the Lleyn Peninsula and Betws-y-Coed are all an easy scenic drive away. For those with a head for heights fast jets can be seen training and photographed as part of the Mach Loop and flights can be arranged from the nearby Snowdonia Flight School to take you over the summit of Snowdon. The town has a swimming pool and climbing wall with instructors available for helping young and old alike. There are excellent boutique restaurants and cafes in the town, (booking is essential in high season).

Brackenwood is a distinguished and spacious, six-bedroomed period house with a separate two-bedroom cottage annexe, located on the beautiful Wirral Peninsula. In a prominent elevated position, it borders extensive areas of natural beauty with direct access to the beautiful woodlands of Caldy Hill. Offering far-reaching views, the property is detached and gated with CCTV making it private and secure. Filled with as much history as it has character and charm, it offers flexible and usable accommodation. The main house covers three levels, is beautifully presented, and luxuriously modernised to match the needs of today’s living. Upon entering via the original period front door, the grand entrance hall opens to a spacious sitting room where there’s a Fendi chaise lounge, comfy sofas, Smart TV, parquet flooring and beautiful Persian rugs. Next door is a spacious bedroom with a super kingsize bed and an elegant oak desk. The impressive underfloor heated kitchen/diner is based around a quartz top centre island and is a foodie’s dream. There are three inbuilt fridges (including a bespoke drinks fridge), plus a large larder freezer - perfect for entertaining. The AEG ovens and microwave are at eye level and self-cleaning; there’s a Nespresso coffee machine and an Alexa. The large dining table and soft seating space is flooded with natural light thanks to huge bi-fold doors, and the utility houses a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer. Finally there’s a downstairs toilet.
On the first floor is the master suite with super kingsize bed, sofa seating and TV. It has a vast en-suite with stand-alone bath and power shower. There are three further double bedrooms, of which one is en-suite, and the main family bathroom. The second floor boasts another luxurious bedroom with sky lights and en-suite facilities, and many of the bedrooms can be offered as twin upon request. All beds have pocket sprung luxury mattresses with 200-thread-count cotton linen, and duvets and pillows are ethically sourced goose/duck down.
The luxurious two-bedroom cottage was newly converted in 2023 and sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms. Finished to a high specification throughout, it includes a luxury bathroom with walk-in shower. The showroom kitchen is fully equipped making it completely self-contained; it’s modern, elegant, and comfortable.
The extensive landscaped grounds are equally impressive and offer the ultimate outdoor experience. The spacious sun terrace overlooks the Wirral Peninsula and includes a hot tub, sauna, outdoor ping pong and XL gas BBQ and grill. The gardens have been lovingly maintained and play host to different feature patio areas. There’s a delightful putting green designed by the Head Greenkeeper at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, that meanders down to a secluded fish pond, and the rear gardens enjoy a swing set for children and can be enclosed for both children and pets.
Brackenwood resides in a hugely popular location in the prestigious village of Caldy, a mere mile from the many attractions and services of West Kirby, including a fabulous array of beaches. West Kirby boasts the historic Hilbre Islands, the stunning Marine Lake and numerous boutique shops, restaurants and bars. A 15-minute drive away you can enjoy attractions such as Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Tenby Brewery and Heatherton World of Adventure, or enjoy one of the many footpaths from the village which join the Pembrokeshire coast footpath. Take a trip to Llanstephan and enjoy afternoon tea in the mansion house or walk on the sandy beach and then visit the castle. Only 15 minutes away is Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, again with a beautiful sandy beach and castle with a tearoom. There is also Pembrey Country Park or Heatherton and Oakwood theme parks to visit or for younger guests (and parents!) visit Folly Farm with lambs, all things fluffy and even tigers and giraffes. A short drive away is Skanda Vale a multi faith ashram which welcomes 90,000 pilgrims a year for those who need a peaceful retreat to stay whilst visiting the temples. This lovely, semi-detached pet friendly converted barn is on the outskirts of Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth. Furnished to a good standard, the accommodation provides a perfect retreat for couples wanting to explore this part of rural Snowdonia. The open plan living area is well-equipped and has plenty of storage and worktop space, together with a breakfast bar, and there is a comfortable leather sofa and flatscreen Freeview TV in the living room. The bathroom is surprisingly generous and has a powerful shower, and the bedroom is also very comfortable and features a kingsize bed. With everything on the ground floor, you’ll find it offers easy access. Outside there’s a small patio area where you can relax with a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sea views. There is also a larger garden area shared with two other cottages, also sleeping 2 (refs UK6584 and UK6586).
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech and explore its impressive castle. Take leisurely walks from the door or spend a day at the nearby sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn.
