Located about a mile from Bridlington’s sea front and the long golden beach, this detached bungalow lies in a peaceful area with many attractions just a short distance away. Set all on one level, with tasteful welcoming décor flowing throughout, it offers parking on the driveway. Inside is a well-equipped kitchen leading to the living/dining room with contemporary furnishings, and there are double and twin bedrooms (the latter can be made up as a double). Nearby is the impressive Georgian stately home of Sewerby Hall with its beautiful gardens. There are golf courses at Sewerby for pitch and putt, or a proper round if you fancy playing golf. Family attractions can be found at the Bridlington Leisure Centre a short distance away, including the swimming pool with fun slides and the clip and climb walls. Bridlington Spa hosts many shows or meet the creatures at the Bridlington’s Animal Park. From the harbour you can take a range of boat trips, including bird spotting tours. Avid nature lovers, walkers and those who love the outdoors, can visit Danes Dyke, South Landing, Flamborough Head and its lighthouse, and Bempton Cliff RSPB Nature Reserve. The Yorkshire Wolds and Yorkshire Moors are a little further away. Locally, there are several houses of historic interest including Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall.
Scarborough is also not far away where you can watch the motorbike racing at Oliver Mount, or visit the Stephen Joseph Theatre or the Open Air Theatre. The dignified, Victorian resort of Aberystwyth, with its electric cliff railway, promenade and pier, is close by, as are the compelling Cambrian Mountains, a ‘wild Wales’ of hill sheep farms, forest and lakelands. Take a stately meandering train ride on what was once a working link between local lead mines and the harbour. The Vale of Rheidol Railway now runs a steam train service through the Rheidol Valley terminating at Devil’s Bridge, and from here you can choose to go and see the three bridges over the river, or visit other attractions such as the famous Mynach Falls, Devil’s Punch Bowl and Jacob’s Ladder.
When you have returned to Pengraig after days out exploring, you can enjoy the tranquil location and children will appreciate the shared play area with toys. Beach 1 mile. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Airyhemming Farm is a detached two storey house situated in peaceful countryside with open views over farmland to the rolling Galloway Hills. There is ample space for families with particularly attractive features such as the farmhouse kitchen with Aga and the delightful sun room to the front offering glorious views. The property also boasts its own stretch of water for brown trout fishing. If fishing is not for you then why not relax in the hot tub! The charming village of Glenluce has local shops and pubs. This area of Dumfries and Galloway boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf stream and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, offering an ideal base from which to explore the Machars Peninsula and the Galloway hills. There are many beautiful gardens to explore, including the world renowned Logan Botanical Gardens. The area boasts many pretty little ports like Sandhead, Portpatrick and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Walking is a delight, whether clifftop, beaches, hills or forests and the Southern Upland Way passes close by. Also a cyclist’s paradise with the world famous 7Stanes within easy reach. If you prefer shooting or golf then there are many facilities nearby including the County course just two miles away. The town of Stranraer which is only 10 miles away offers a wider range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby Cairnryan is home to the Stena Line ferry making a day trip to Ireland a great day out. Albatross Lodge is located near Bridlington and is set in the tranquil parkland of Bridlington Links Golf course found on the cliff tops just outside the thriving town of Bridlington on the stunning Yorkshire coastline. Step inside and find a bright and airy open-plan living space with large French doors leading out to an enclosed decked area. A modern kitchen offers a host of appliances so is well-equipped to enjoy a home-cooked meal. There is plenty of storage space for your holiday essentials and lots of worktop space from where to prepare a hearty Yorkshire breakfast or delicious evening meal which can be enjoyed at the dining table which sits close by. Along the corridor is a stylish bathroom providing a bath with a shower over. Albatross Lodge offers two bedrooms, a twin and a double which also has its own en-suite shower room. During the summer months spend the evenings sitting outside watching the deer that graze amongst the lodges or spending an hour or two in the private hot tub watching the owls that hunt along the treeline.
Wander down to the golf clubhouse and enjoy the sea views with a refreshing pint and a delicious meal from the restaurant. Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs to enjoy this superb course or practise your swing at the driving range (additional charges apply). Close by is Sewerby Hall and Gardens, access can be gained by the gate through the woods. Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are also worth a visit. Bridlington offers two beaches a long promenade and a land train as well as a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants, bars and convenience stores.
This area is a walkers’ and cyclists’ delight; walk the Flamborough Heritage Coastline, explore Danes Dyke Nature Reserve or take a drive through the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a short drive away and should feature on your holiday itinerary. Filey, Scarborough and the historic city of York are all under an hour away. Albatross Lodge offers a relaxing retreat to return to each evening. Beach 1 mile. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Situated 200 yards from Loch Sunart in the bay of Camas Inas with access to a rocky beach and the cottages own mooring, this newly renovated cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly part of the UK. In the grounds of the cottage is a garage for storing kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles. It is just one minutes’ walk to the loch where you can swim or fish and have close up views of passing dolphins and otters. There is also horse riding, canoeing and water rafting locally as well as clay pigeon shooting.
The cottage is all on one level with five steps up to it with two bedrooms, one which can either be a double size bed or twin beds lounge bathroom and kitchen. A cot is available for babies.
The double glazing and central heating are complemented by an open fire (with fireguard) and a supply of logs provided. Designed to make you feel cosy and comfortable, the cottage is decorated to remind you of Victorian Scotland but has every modern comfort. There are lots of stunning hill and loch-side walks in the area with Castle Tioram being one of the most beautiful sights to see in Scotland. Glen Coe and Ben Nevis with skiing are not far but you can also take a short drive to pubs, award winning restaurants, cafe’s, distillery, or smokehouse to enjoy local produce of seafood or venison. Drive further down the Pensinsula to the award winning organic Ardnamurchan Distillery or to Kilchoan and the Ardnamurchan lighthouse and then take the ferry across to Mull and visit Tobermory and several fish restaurants all selling local fresh caught produce.
Nearby there is a post office and two general food shops. The fish man comes every Tuesday with freshly landed fish including langoustine and lobsters. Venison and organically grown vegetables can be bought locally. You can also order a delivery from a local supermarket in Fort William for basic supplies although there will be items like tea, bread, milk, eggs, and wine in a welcome hamper for you on arrival.
There is a local GP and the area has its own ambulance, coastguard, fire service and police on the peninsula.
