The property features a split level, open plan living and dining area, each with bi-fold doors opening out onto patio areas, affording stunning sea views, with gardens front and back. Dog friendly, this is the perfect place from which to explore this unique part of Cornwall.
The house is tastefully furnished and comfortable all year round with a wood burner and central heating. Standing on the headland above the picturesque village of Port Gaverne, the house is a few steps from the north Cornwall coastal path. The beach at Port Gaverne is a 6-7 minute walk away and a little further is Port Isaac, with its huddle of slate houses and narrow alleyways.
The state-of-the-art kitchen is great for catering and cooking the fresh local produce. There are two excellent fish shops in Port Isaac that sell their daily catch of fish and shellfish; specialities are crab and lobster.
Local lamb, beef and pork are all available at the nearby farm shop, which has wonderful views overlooking the sea.
Famous now as the setting for the TV series ’Doc Martin’, Port Isaac is a working fishing village with shops, bars and several top-quality restaurants.
This area is now renowned as a ’foodie paradise’, with several celebrity chefs located here and the area is very well served by a whole variety of dining places to fit every pocket.
Close by is a hotel and next door is a bistro, which has indoor and outdoor dining. There are two Michelin starred restaurants in Port Isaac run by Nathan Outlaw. Nearby in Padstow is Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred restaurant and he has a great pub too. Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and Cookery School are in Padstow. Rick Stein also has a number of other restaurants with varying price ranges.
This is an ideal spot for those who enjoy coastal walks, bird watching, golf, fishing, surfing, sailing, kayaking, cycling or just lazing on the beach. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. The cliffs, caves and rock pools are a children’s paradise.
Within an easy drive are Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude and Wadebridge.
Wadebridge hosts one end of the Camel Trail, with a 5-mile dedicated cycle ride to Padstow on the old railway track, alongside the picturesque Camel Estuary. To the north stands Tintagel’s medieval castle and the quaint fishing village of Boscastle, with Crackington Haven and Bude a little further on. Inland lies Jamaica Inn and Bodmin Moor, the setting for the ’Poldark’ stories.
A few minutes’ walk away is a water sports centre, Cornish Rock Tors, based on the beach at Port Gaverne. They offer kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering for individuals and groups. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. Water sports can be enjoyed at Rock, from where a passenger ferry crosses the Camel Estuary to the town of Padstow. Daymer Bay has another glorious sandy beach, and the golf course at St Enodoc is open to the public. John Betjeman, the late Poet Laureate, is buried at St Enodoc Church, with its twisted spire.

This historic, spacious, terraced, 500-year-old former church house sits peacefully beside the village green and war memorial, in front of the 12th-century Norman church of St Andrews. The house has been lovingly restored and retains many original features.
The large living room and dining area, with its 16th-century ceiling beams, are great for a family gathering, or a cosy night in beside the wood burner. There is a small part-covered, shady, internal courtyard room with a flagstone floor, fountain, window seat and small outdoor table and chairs.
All 4 double bedrooms have either cupboard or hanging rack space for clothes/storage. The second floor bedroom runs the length of the cottage and has huge, original 16th-century A-frame roof beams and three, heritage Velux-style windows. The cottage is just a few steps from the village post office, shop and an excellent hair salon. Just beyond that are the two village pubs, The Tree Inn and The Kings Arms.
Jalna is the perfect coastal holiday choice close to the Victorian seaside town of Bude with its glorious sandy beaches and breath-taking South West coastal path scenery. It is the ideal escape venue in which to spend time with friends and family.
Bude is incredibly popular all year round, with its castle heritage centre, a vibrant town centre and an array of restaurants and bars, together with two sandy beaches and the nearby coastal path. It retains its Victorian charm whilst offering something for everyone. The food scene around Stratton and Bude has really taken off. There are regular food markets and artisan pop-ups in addition to the array of restaurants, bakeries and wine merchants.
The Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club is close by. Paddle boarding, surfing, golf, tennis, horse riding and fishing are all on offer in the area. The internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival is fantastic and not to be missed. The Splash leisure centre, with an indoor swimming pool and ten-pin bowling alley, is a short drive away.
Widemouth Bay is only 3 miles further down the coast and has a stunning beach. The picturesque fishing villages of Rock and Padstow are within easy driving distance, as is the mysterious Tintagel Castle of Arthurian legend. The wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are all easily reached, as is the famous Eden Project. For family fun, the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. The Camel Trail can be accessed in nearby Wadebridge, where bikes can be hired to cycle to Padstow. Nearest beach is under 2 miles. Shop and post office 20 yards, pub and restaurant are 50 yards from Jalna.

Madison is a lovely Swedish designed, detached holiday property situated not far from the beach and benefiting from being just under 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude. The property can comfortably accommodate eight guests with all rooms on one level.
There are three bedrooms; one with a super kingsize bed, Smart TV and a lovely en-suite with a multi spray unit, double walk-in shower plus a bath and the other two both being twins (one with a handy sink in it). There’s also a family shower room, again with double walk-in shower. The living space consists of a comfortable living area with Smart TV, a separate dining room with a double sofa bed and a conservatory with seating, a telescope and access to the rear garden and patio. The kitchen/breakfast room offers everything you’ll need for your stay and the utility room has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and coffee machine.
Outside is a large rear garden consisting of trees, lawn and a patio with a big dining table, perfect for outdoor family gatherings. Children will love running in and out of the trees and bushes and hidden away is a quiet sun lounging area. To the front of the property is an additional garden area and parking for up to five cars on the driveway. If it’s the beach life you’re looking for then you’ll be spoiled for choice with the nearest beach being just 3 miles away. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town and has something for everyone including great beaches, rockpools and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and a heritage centre at Bude Castle.
Madison is also perfectly located for you to discover the many natural delights that North Devon has to offer such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ‘Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Hartland, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village. There are plenty of family-oriented places to visit including Exmoor Zoo, Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep farm-themed park and many others.

Haven Lodge is a spectacular detached period property which has undergone a transformation creating a stunning ECO holiday property. With its reverse level accommodation taking full advantage of the superb sea views plus modern stylish open plan kitchen and dining area through to the spacious vaulted ceiling living room. The property is a short walk to the centre of St Mawes which offers a variety of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, plus the harbour, beaches and the regular ferry crossing to Falmouth.
As you enter the property at the ground floor level the house starts to reveal its secrets. The mosaic tiled floor invites you into the hallway where instead of a living room you will now find bright, freshly decorated bedrooms complete with tasteful soft furnishings, blending with the property and its location. There are three en-suite shower rooms fully equipped to a high standard with modern walk-in showers. There is also a superb separate family bathroom finished to the same style and standard. The ground floor also has the advantage of under floor heating (rooms separately controlled), plus a utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer. From the hall the turning spindle staircase rises to the first floor bringing you to a large living room created to take advantage of the sea views to the front, while French doors open out to a superb spacious decking area perfect for sun bathing, al fresco dining, barbecues or just to take in the view. A short flight of stairs to the first floor there are two bedrooms a twin and a single sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower over bath. Patio doors lead out on to a patio. There is a beautifully stocked large sloping garden and a patio area with an ornamental garden and pond feature. There is a relatively steep path from the garden down to Lower Castle Road providing easy access to the Tresanton Tavern Beach and the rest of the village.

Set off on a surfing expedition to Newquay’s nearby world famous Fistral Beach or Watergate Bay known for enjoying incredible waves all year round, with surf schools here to teach beginners all they need to know!

The stylish dining area offers seating for eight, so the whole family can enjoy evening meals and lunches together, or if you prefer your breakfast on the go, there’s also a lovely breakfast bar. From the kitchen, double doors lead out onto the large, sunny rear garden and spacious patio area with table and chairs - perfect for al fresco dining or catching those rays of sunshine - and a private lawned area filled with a variety of shrubs and plants—the ideal space for letting children run off steam at the end of a day’s adventure. Taking the stairs to the first floor, you’ll find the cottage’s three bedrooms, the master located at the front of the property is spacious and bright with a super-king size bed and doors that lead out onto an amazing balcony providing superb views over St Mawes Bay and is an idyllic spot to enjoy your morning cuppa! The second bedroom has a large king-size bed, hanging space and chest of drawers, and the third, spacious bedroom offers a single bed with underneath pull out and separate bunk beds - which are great for younger children or teenagers. On this floor, you’ll also find the luxurious family bathroom plus a second shower room.
St Mawes village offers a variety of shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants, all within walking distance from the property. From St Mawes harbour, you can take the ferry across the bay to Falmouth for more shopping, attractions and beaches, or staying on the Roseland, the pretty villages of Portscatho and Portloe are within easy reach by car. The Roseland Peninsula offers plenty to do, including sailing, kayaking and beautiful walks along the South West Coastal Path.
