Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. This spacious, detached, dog-friendly holiday cottage is set over three floors with three bathrooms, and has a lovely hand-built kitchen with dresser and large dining table. The living room with the woodburner gives way to a games room for the children with a playstation console and various board games. From here you can take in the breathtaking views across the Atlantic Ocean and walk north towards Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, or south towards Polzeath, with its sandy surfing beach. Rock is a 5 mile drive from Post Isaac, where you can enjoy the many watersports on offer. You can walk or cycle along the Camel Trail, a disused railway line that follows the Camel Estuary to the market town of Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. You can also take a ferry from Rock to Padstow, where you will find many shops, pubs and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s fish restaurant.This holiday cottage is ideally situated to visit the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer including The Eden Project, a zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium at Newquay, as well as many gardens and NT properties close by. Visit the quaint harbour towns of Newlyn and Mousehole, and the romantic open air Minack Theatre is just a short drive away, built in to the cliff face overlooking the beautiful beach at Porthcurno, with stunning performances throughout the year. Surf at Sennen beach or walk along the glorious white sandy beach or cliff top to Lands End. Fishing is available locally, and the area is popular for bird watching with the marshes at Marazion and Hayle attracting bird and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world. From the gardens you can take in the relaxing sounds of the sea lapping against the exposed coastline, and enjoy views over the sea.

With the legendary Fistral Beach just 500 metres away, you’ll be from the front door to the sand within minutes, so you’ll be able to carry your surfboards, picnics or whatever you need for that day on the beach without needing to take the car. The Harbour Beach is just 1.3km away.
Whilst you’re in the area, why not enjoy a round at one of the finest links courses in the south west, Newquay Golf Course. For a special foodie treat, head to one of the exclusive restaurants in the area and indulge in some of the finest decadent delights the south west must offer.

With a zoo, cinema, surf schools and local shops, it makes for a great day out for the whole family. The popular county of Cornwall is easy to explore; discover beautiful remote corners and quiet coves, many with seals basking on the beaches. The moors of Bodmin are also worth a visit, along with Charlestown where much of the filming of Poldark takes place - you may even see the man himself. Beach 6 miles. This converted 17th-century Fish Cellar is in a stunning location with beautiful beaches literally on the doorstep. Set within a private gated community of five properties, this is a mid-terrace, eco-friendly home with much of the original stone retained to keep the charm and heritage alive. The property is set over three levels and in addition to uninterrupted sunsets and the sound of crashing waves, boasts a host of entertainment including board games, books, music and audiobooks through Amazon Echo, hundreds of DVDs, TVs in most rooms, a PlayStation 3 with games and a Nintendo Wii. For your relaxation you also have available a steam shower, aromatherapy and mood lighting. There is also a private hot tub situated on a decked area of the balcony.
The Fish Cellars is the perfect base for you to explore this historic and exciting area, known as the hidden gem of Cornwall. Portwrinkle is a small village on the south east coast of Cornwall, with views along Whitsand Bay, which can be seen for miles on a sunny day from the private balcony. Portwrinkle has two sand and shingle beaches, one of which is Finnygook beach and is popular with experienced surfers, however there are plenty of rock pools for the children to explore (nets available in the house), or you can just sit back and relax and take in the dramatic coastline around you.
The South West Coast Path is only 100 yards away and is perfect for enjoying a leisurely walk, whilst taking in the spectacular views of the coastline. It is characterised by high cliffs, dramatic scenery and long stretches of sandy beaches just waiting to be discovered.
A short drive away, or if you’re feeling adventurous, an 8-mile coastal path walk, is the traditional fishing village of Looe. The long harbour wall stretches up to the Victorian bridge. You can take a trip to Looe Island and explore the rock pools or go crabbing, you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the grey seal colony. There’s plenty of opportunities for sailing and fishing trips, too. You can also relax on the sandy beach in Looe, paddle in the sea or roam around the shops, museums and galleries. The local fish market sells fish straight off the boats from the harbour, something for a special dinner perhaps.
Down the road from Looe is the historic fishing village of Polperro with its winding streets, once a thriving centre for smugglers. The pretty village cottages are perched on steep slopes overlooking the harbour. There are many displays of local art and crafts, and you can sample local produce in one of the many cafés and restaurants Polperro has to offer. The inner harbour is full of colourful boats and is still a working harbour to this day.
Slightly further afield are the famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both around a 50-60-minute drive away. The Eden Project hosts concerts and themed events throughout the year and has plenty to keep children and adults fascinated. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, set in 200 acres of garden history, were once lost under brambles and have been restored to their former glory. You can explore the gardens and the estate in your own time and appreciate why Heligan is one of the finest gardens in England. Historic homes closer to hand are Mount Edgcumbe House and Anthony House.
There is so much to see and do here, beautiful beaches, fishing villages, coastal walks, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding and a plethora of National Trust properties are all available locally. Beach 170 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant.

Oakwood is a spacious, detached property which is perfect for families and groups of friends. All rooms are light, spacious, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped to make this a lovely holiday home.
Oakwood is perfectly situated for summer days at the beach, being close both to the spectacular North Cornwall coast and to the picturesque Camel Estuary with their rocky coastlines and wonderful sandy beaches. Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel, and Wadebridge are all only a few minutes away. For walkers, the Cornish Coastal Path is less than a mile away.
Oakwood is also perfect for spring, autumn, and Christmas breaks with its underfloor heating throughout and wood burner in the living room for added luxury.
