Tintagel, EnglandNewhaven is a beautifully presented, dog friendly, bungalow with a terraced garden, and a large deck and is ideal for a family with young children, the twin bedroom is pirate themed and there are a wealth of novel garden ornaments including a lobster pot and "smugglers den," a child’s playhouse. The dining conservatory creates an al fresco ambience of dining under the stars but remains cosy with underfloor heating, and winter evenings will be toasty warm in the dual aspect kitchen/living room with the lovely slate fireplace surrounding the wood burner.
Trebarwith Strand Beach is close by and at low tide a large expanse of golden sand is exposed, with plenty of rock pools and a number of caves, just be careful to always check the tide times. Tintagel is well worth a visit, cross the new suspension bridge to Tintagel Castle and Island where medieval fortifications combine a history of the dark ages with the legend of King Arthur to produce a wonderful day out with many different eateries and pubs to sample as a bonus. The coast path stretches along some of the most rugged cliffs in the southwest, where majestic promontories overlook secluded beaches with golden sands and crashing Atlantic surf. A quick drive will also take you to Boscastle, site of the infamous floods in 2004, or the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac where lovely narrow lanes lead to the charming harbour and beach that Port Isaac is so famous for. Delabole, England 2.50These two stone built holiday cottages (ref 29227 and ref TJU) date back to the 17 century and enjoy a rural location with superb sea views. Pet-friendly Downhouse Cottage was extended in Victorian times, while Downhouse has a rustic feel with a clome oven in the fireplace and a large garden. Water is supplied from a borehole; the water is wonderful and is tested annually, so no need for bottled water.

In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns (refs 30108, 30109, 30110 and 30111) are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer.
Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Each property also has access to electric car charging points which a charge for use however if you require using the charging points you must bring your own lead. There are no local amenities as it is in a hamlet, but only a 5 minute car journey to the local village; we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself to your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay. Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin.
Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. In the sleepy village of Bohortha, located high on a ridge on the St Anthony Headland lies the sleepy hamlet of Bohortha. Made up of a cluster of cottages and a farm, this is the perfect place to escape from reality and enjoy the true beauty of the idyllic Roseland Peninsula. Mizpah is located at the end of a row of fishermen’s cottages accessed by a short footpath to the rear of the property from where the road runs out.
This is a traditional Cornish cottage which has been quietly upgraded by its loving owners. It is full of character with a wonderful dining room boasting a lovely old cast iron range with brass fittings and a bread oven, sadly not in use, and a flagstone floor. The cosy fireplace (coal only please) and electric central heating will keep you warm during the wild winter evenings and the lovely garden has plenty of space to enjoy during the summer, perfect for lighting the barbeque and dining al fresco. The fully fitted kitchen includes a lovely limestone floor and is a dream for any budding chef on holiday. On the first floor you will find the three beautifully decorated bedrooms, one double with kingsize bed, one twin room and one room with bunk beds which is ideal for younger children. Enjoy glimpses of the sea in distant views from the first floor bedrooms and step out of your door onto stunning walks. Bude, EnglandThis is a beautiful single level barn conversion, extremely well presented with all modern amenities, exposed beams, a wood burning stove, a spacious garden and plenty of parking. The open plan living space has an elegant, yet homely feel. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom also has an en-suite which is also accessed from the hallway.
Situated just north of Bude with fabulous access to all of the glorious beaches including Northcott Mouth beach and Sandymouth a bit further to the north, both of which have glorious expanses of golden sand at low tide. Bude itself has a wealth of restaurants, pubs, cafés, and galleries, a great playground and interesting canal. Further north and you are over the border into Devon where Clovelly is well worth a visit. The property adjoins another house, although the garden and driveway shown in the photos is exclusive to Skyber Barnacott.
The closest village to Skyber Barnacott is Kilkhampton which dates back to before Saxon times. There you can find the remains of a 12th century motte and bailey style Norman castle. The church of St James the Great is over 450 years old. Both of the two pubs in the village the New Inn and London Inn serve food.
