A short drive away is the fishing village of Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ’Doc Martin’, Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, and the small harbour village of Boscastle. Padstow, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s fish restaurant, is close by. From Padstow, you can take a ferry across to Rock to sample the many watersports, or cycle or walk along the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond. Beach 3 miles. Pennard is a spacious detached bungalow, built around a central courtyard, just two miles from the north coast and beaches of Portreath, Godrevy and Gwithian. The bungalow has four bedrooms, a large master bedroom with en-suite and a further main bathroom and additional wet room. An additional sitting room can be converted to use as an additional bedroom. Pennard is in a peaceful area and ideally located for visiting both the rugged north coast and the tranquil coves and creeks of the south coast. Close to Tehidy Country Park and Golf Course and the fabulous surf beach of Portreath. Easy access to the flat, private and enclosed rear garden and patio. Convenient for the A30 which enables visitors to explore the county with ease: Falmouth with the National Maritime Museum, St Ives with the Tate Gallery, Penzance with the nearby fishing harbour of Newlyn and Mousehole with its art galleries. Seagull Cottage is a mid-terrace holiday home in a superb location with delightful sea views and just a stone’s throw from Portreath’s sandy beach and harbour. Portreath is a seaside village on the beautiful North Cornish coast. Set in a deep valley alongside the rugged, popular surfing beach which is watched over by the local Surf Life Saving Club, and is ideal for swimming and watersports.

There are spectacular coastal walks and amazing sunsets. Within a short flat walk to the heart of the village where you will find shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Ilogan Woods, adjacent to Portreath, with streams and a circular walk leading to the 14th-century church tower at Ilogan.

The Mineral Tramway Cycle Trail starts at Portreath and continues for 11 miles through the beautiful Cornish countryside to Devoran on the south coast. Cycles can be hired close by. Portreath is a perfect location for touring Cornwall, just 3 miles from the main A30 providing easy access to Penzance, St Ives, Lands End, Falmouth and The Lizard Peninsula. The cathedral city of Truro is just a short drive away with theatre, cinema, bowling and shops. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 50 yards.

Perfectly situated to enjoy the benefits of Cornwall and sitting quietly behind the converted chapel, overlooking the Cornish countryside, this converted Sunday School provides an ideal holiday base from which to explore the county. Cycling and walking on the official ’Clay Trails’ within the area are a must, along which you can explore the area and even reach the world famous Eden Project. St Austell, with its leisure centre, is approximately 6 miles, as is the village of Charlestown, home to ’tall ships’ and a shipwreck heritage museum that houses artefacts from the Titanic. To the north of the property, the fishing village of Padstow, with its numerous restaurants (local seafood is a speciality), is easily accessible. Also available is bike hire (the famous Camel Trail), fishing trips and diving. Newquay, with its excellent surfing beaches, is approximately 12 miles away. On the south coast, the ancient fishing port of Fowey is within 10 miles and was home to Daphne Du Maurier. Fowey has many events throughout the year, such as the Du Maurier festival and the Fowey Royal Regatta. It is also home to many galleries, pubs, restaurants and shops. Sea fishing, sailing and diving trips are available locally. Bodmin Moor is also close by and provides an excellent location for horse riding, walking and mountain biking. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House, Restormel Castle and Crealy Adventure Park are all within an easy drive. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Situated in the grounds of a caravan club site and within half a mile of several, sandy beaches and coves, it is a haven for children. The nearby coast path follows the cliff tops to the picturesque fishing hamlet of Boscastle and onto the legendary seat of King Arthur at Tintagel’s ruined castle. With many pubs, restaurants and leisure activities in the area this is both the perfect family holiday location and base for touring the splendid Cornish coastline. Each property also has access to electric car charging points which a charge for use however if you require using the charging points you must bring your own lead. There are no local amenities as it is in a hamlet, but only a 5 minute car journey to the local village; we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself to your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay.
This barn has the private use of a hot tub, but please note the first night the temperature may not of quite reached it’s optimal temperature due to the replenishment of fresh water post cleaning the tub.

Take a sea safari, relax on one of the many pristine, sandy beaches, go shopping, visit art galleries or eat and drink al fresco at bars, cafés or restaurants before returning to The Farmhouse to relax and unwind whilst the children head to the play park on site. These four holiday cottages, Sunrise (ref: 25051) and Sunny Skies, (ref: 25052) which stand detached, and Summer Breeze (ref: 25053) and Sunset (ref: 27684), which are semi-detached, enjoy a perfect location for exploring all corners of Cornwall from Lands End in the west to Padstow on the north coast and Fowey, Looe and Polperro on the completely different south coast. The beautiful gardens provide a peaceful haven with summerhouse and children’s play area. The cottages lie just minutes from the south coast including the fishing village of Mevagissey and the seafaring town of Fowey with its royal regatta and Du Maurier Festival (Daphne du Maurier made the town her home). Nearby are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the amazing Eden Project. Visit Truro, the capital of Cornwall with its Gothic cathedral, surrounded by narrow streets and alleyways lined with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. St Austell Bay, just minutes away, has a stunning coastline which has pretty coastal towns and villages dotted along its edge. Charlestown is home to a collection of tall sailing ships, an historic harbour and Georgian architecture, all of which have been used as film and TV sets over many years. Porthpean has a lovely unspoilt beach, golf club and views across the bay. Visit Pentewan with picturesque cycle and walking trail along a river and through a 450-year-old woodland. This spacious, well-appointed and privately situated detached bungalow is located in the grounds of the caravan club site near Tintagel. The living room is cosy with an electric ‘wood burner’ and TV, whilst the well-equipped kitchen is open plan with the dining area. There are four comfortable bedrooms, two with kingsize beds, one of which has an en-suite shower room, one with twin beds and one with a bunk bed. A family bathroom completes the picture.

Tintagel is 4 miles away with King Arthur’s castle clinging to the cliff top. The quaint fishing villages of Padstow, famous for TV chef Rick Stein’s restaurant, Boscastle and Port Isaac are a must. Port Isaac is also famously known as Portwenn, thanks to the long running TV series ‘Doc Martin’.
The nearby South-West Coastal Path passes through some of the most dramatic scenery of its route.
Away from the coast, explore the beauty of Bodmin Moor, a vast moorland peppered with fascinating granite Tors. The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway chugs along for 6 miles and back and will delight children of all ages including steam train enthusiasts.
Alternatively the disused railway track now known as the Camel Trail cycle and footpath is within easy reach and stretches for 18 miles from Padstow to Wenford Bridge via Wadebridge and Bodmin. Shop 0.75 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
